Re: Mini-raisers!

[ QUOTE ]
This hand really bothered me after the game. It was the FIRST of a string of mini-raises by this guy. Had he mini-raised previously, I would have pushed.

I usually respond to button...

Re: Tricky bubble hand

I don't think raising v. pushing really changes BB calling range. The other stacks can interpret your raise as either "I have a hand that can handle the BB let me take care of it" or "I've got too...

hmm, I ran it...if the guy is really totally insane and will call with 22+,A2s+,A3o+,KTs+,KJo+,QJs, then folding is probably reasonable (pushing would probably be reasonable too, +.1-.+2...

Re: ($33) Playing from the blinds: 86o

[ QUOTE ]
I like leading vs. two opponents but three's about my limit. It's not reverse implied odds, it's just 'hey, do I have the best hand? No? OK then.'

When you check and there's a bet/call...

Re: OT: SNG Psychology help...

That's why I seem to prefer dumping my first set and then digging myself out of a nice little hole. Once I've done that the fear of losing has been conquered and I can continue to play undetered.

I'm pushing almost any 2 here. Anything with more than 35% equity verse a random hand should be pushed here. Here you have the chance to play against a random hand. That is not...

Re: $16T Weak Call or +EV

His range is really huge because you have to have AA or hate money to call here.

I think this is a spot where your typical 2+2'er "pushbot" is susceptible to a leak in their game. I love playing against players that push crap in spots like this (J8 isn't...

Re: HU hand

In a vacuum I would say push pre-flop. But HU play is pretty much about everything but the cards and analyzing hands in a vacuum is pretty useless.

Re: $27... another hand in push fold mode... AQ

Re: The nature of 800 chip games

My personal belief is that both players have to have at least 50xBB before there is enough maneuvering room to escape from TPTK. With any less it is really hard to escape being pot committed by the...

Re: Theory: Approach to Very Short Stack Play

See what you think of this concept.

I believe that ICM overstates your EVfold in these super shortstack situations. When you have ~2 BB and a few hands between you and the BB it is a given that...

Re: (22) QQ, Whats my line on this flop?

I bet 1/2 the pot and plan to go to the felt. If I lose I kick my self for not raising more pre-flop.

Re: $22: Push or wait with an uber short stack

ICM assumes that all stacks are equally playable. It doesn't give you an extra dose of equity because you have a monster stack and know you can steam roll the table and it doesn't subtract any equity...
