Re: 6.5: Make a play for it and hope?

[ QUOTE ]
It depends on your read of MP, completely.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think he'll probably call with any J, will probably call with something like A9, and I think he'll fold a straight draw.

6.5: Make a play for it and hope?

The blinds just went up from 100/200 to 200/400. I'm lucky to get to see a flop, and lucky-ish to flop a pair. The pot is the same size as my stack, and the first player has checked. If I fold...

Re: 6.5: Sanity Check--Should I really push here?

[ QUOTE ]
What do you describe as 'really, really loose'? I'm not sure this is a push myself - it's probably not an awful one, but far from one I'd be thrilled at making.. and have you taken account...

Re: 6.5: Check the turn with my overpair?

Why no raise preflop?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't have a good answer. I've just moved from Party to Stars and I was typically completing with this at Party because raising here to like 100...

6.5: Sanity Check--Should I really push here?

My SNGPT calcs are showing this as a push against lots and lots of ranges. My instincts tell me to fold it. I'd like your opinion. This is one of those "They're all playing really badly but...

6.5: Check the turn with my overpair?

I was scared of the Ace, of course, but I don't like givine a free card if he's on some kind of draw. Maybe I should pop in a 300 bet (folding to a raise of course) here and try to check down the...

Re: 11: Should I push here?

Yes, I posted it b/c the profitability of this push seems completely dependent on my read of the players behind. If I put them all on 10%(55+,ATo+,A8s+,KQs), it's just barely above break-even. If...

Re: 11: Get off my AA when the top card pairs on the turn?

I think that at the 11s this flop will get checked through way too often, especially since I was the preflop raiser, so I prefer to just bet.

Re: 11: How did I play this flopped straight?

[ QUOTE ]
If he has a full house, all of your chips will be in the middle by the end anyway, either checking/betting/pushing, so who cares?

Re: 11: Get off my AA when the top card pairs on the turn?

Thanks for the replies. He did indeed have J9 if anyone cares, but I thought the call was good and wanted to see what others thought.

11: How did I play this flopped straight?

Should I bet bigger on the flop? I'd like some action on my straight. Push the turn? Or is it all reasonable?

11: Get off my AA when the top card pairs on the turn?

When the Jack pairs on the turn, I don't like my hand much anymore, but I'm getting like 3:1. Should I just let it go?

WSOP 2005 Starts on Challenge (UK) Tonight.

Actually, right now, 10 p.m.

But can anyone who's seen the episodes in America confirm that the first episode is actually a circuit event from the RIO with Ivey and Harman at the FT?

Re: How often is this an Ace?

No one checkraises that board without an Ace or a Six. He's telling you that he wants the pot and is willing to take it now and if you want to draw to two outs you have to pay extra for...

How often is this an Ace?

Villain is tight and hasn't gotten out of line. In general, this table is tight-passive, but Villain hasn't played enough hands yet for me to have an opinion on whether he's passive or aggressive...

Conceptual Problem with AK/Turn check-raise.

This hand raised something that has really been bothering me.

I've only been at this table for about 4 hands, and I have no read on villain. My flop raise could well be incorrect, but I think it's...

They're saying 1-7. Genius is taunting him in the chat box to play 2 at once with him. Noah appears to own him. Everyone wants a piece.

Whee!

Re: A9o push Q.

So I guess you have about 830 chips. Whether or not to push it depends totally on your read of the BB. If you think he'll only call with Ax or stuff like KQ, QJs, then it's a fine push. ...

Come over the top with my 44 here?

Party $11.

Villain is very loose (like 65s loose in the early going) and has been raising with probably 1/3 of the hands he's played. I'm not really sure what his range is, nor what to make of...

A9o push Q.

Hello,

This is a Party $11. I've just moved from Stars and I'm getting killed at the Party $11s. I think it's because the players are looser about calling all-in, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I...
