fast forward two months, 30K hands at absolute, and no RB payment.

I was confused when I first signed up for Absolute because I never received any points for rakeback....

Re: I lost alot of chips here, didn\'t I?

Seems fine to me. I would bet 175-200 on the flop as well.

Re: 5.5: Donk, or good call?

Yep, I think it's clear cut. The SB could have a wide range of hands and you are getting good odds to call.

Re: how close is this? (lc)

With 78 in the pot and 35 to call, you are getting better than 2:1. Seems like a call, even if he has QQ:

pokenum -h qc qd - ts 9s -- qs th 8s
Holdem Hi: 990 enumerated boards containing Qs...

Re: Who calls this?..

I wouldn't call with your hand although I'd think about it. If I were in the big blind's situation w/ Q4s, I'd call as he did getting 2:1 odds. I'm not sure which call you are asking about.

Re: $11: AQo Play Along

If I didn't fold, I would limp in here (depends on how aggressive the table has been). I wouldn't raise.

Re: I\'m in this position all the time 10+1

I would raise slightly more pre-flop (60+). I have to admit that I would call the c/r. Sometimes he has KQ or JT and you are behind. Sometimes he has KJ, AJ or some suited flush draw that you are...

Re: AJ UTG 22 tourny

I would also push. The blinds are about to hit you, and you only have 6BB. Push now while you still have folding equity. AJo is not a great hand, but it is probably better than the one you will...

Re: Defining/Protecting hands with Pot-sized bets or Overbets

I'd put Villian on JT, a flopped set, or a bluff. I'd usually bet 2/3 pot on the flop/turn, even as a CB.

Re: blind structure affecting play

If you look at the ratio between blinds and stack sizes, it all should be roughly the same (usually around 100BB buyin maximum)

Sure, at $0.5 blinds, you may pick up $2.50 by knocking everyone out...

Re: help me understand - overpushing big draws

With a strong draw, you are almost even money to win (if he calls), not counting folding equity. You are also guaranteed to see both cards. If you just call and miss on the turn, you may not have...

Re: When to call with a draw HU

[ QUOTE ]

I've got a gutshot to the idiot end; if he doesn't have the 8, I'm golden. Also I have the A, which I don't yet know is no good. (Ignore the backdoor nut flush draw). Figure 2 of my 3...

Re: VS Shortstack

When I play against a short stack, I make them commit their whole stack as quickly as possible. If you don't want to put him all in on the flop, try a $9 bet (he has $14 left). If he folds, great -...

Re: AA facing a flop raise all-in

I would call. I already have half my stack in the pot and am getting 3:1 odds on a call. He might be on a flush draw, AKo, etc. Seems like he would have raised KK preflop.

Re: AKs, flop flush draw, broadway gutshot, HELP!!! PLEASE!!!!!

Great flop for you. Raise to $0.40 preflop. With both a flush and a straight draw, I'd do the same on the flop. It's unfortunate that someone has already flopped a set, but hard to know. On the...

Re: Call this short-stack push with top pair?

Faced with less than a min-raise all-in, I would definitely call. The small stack could be on a flush draw, but even if they have AA, you still have the odds to draw to another Q or J.

Re: JJ out of position with a nasty turn

I like your play of the hand. With so many limpers, you want to raise higher than your normal 4xBB preflop (to try to eliminate hands like 86o...). On the turn, I would have bet 1.80 and put him...

Re: Badly played set followed by badly played draw?

The first hand I'd check raise the flop, but maybe slightly less (to $6 or $7).

On the second hand I don't see any problem putting him all in on the flop, especially since he has such a small...

Re: $11 SnG PP--River Trips

I wouldn't fold, so unless he has a poorly played 109 or QJ and was giving you free cards on a potential flush draw, I'd just min-raise all-in. I'd optimally hope to see him have something like JT...

Re: PP 11. Bubble hand. AQo in the SB facing big stacked BB.

I'd choose between either pushing or only calling. A push seems theoretically the best, although I'd be tempted to just call if I thought that small stacks were weak and about to go out (it also...

Re: A9o push Q.

I'd push. There is 225 in blinds there and I only have 830. I'd push now while I still have some fold equity.
