Re: How easy should this fold be

I think you're facing AK/AQ here a lot. I'm nearly counting out KK here because it's likely they want to get their money in preflop.
The only hand to worry about would be MP1 having QQ, then his...

Re: What level do you play? 2+2 Roll Call...

2-tabling the $22s or 3-4 $11s. I've just been playing for three months so I pretty much suck. Only played 400 Sngs or so.

Re: (PP $10 + 1) QJ all in with low M

You definitely should not do this. Do you really think you can steal when he just has to call 200 to see you?

Stealing is good, but you need to be the first raiser or be able to raise a large...

Re: $11 ITM - Tricky Situation - 66

What are you scared of, Button would raise here with any two cards, and probably raise more if he actually had something. SB represents more with his call (but if he knows Button raises with...

Re: (11) level 1 JJ pushed all-in

Um. He's got nearly a tenth of the chips ten-handed, I think you should look one more time. Just paying the blinds once isn't being chip-starved. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I might call this if...

Re: 10+1 TT after the flop Push or Fold

I would say you're probably behind here. Reraises in the $11s pretty much mean a pocket pair 88+, and with the second caller one of them nearly always have a pair higher than yours.

I don't really...

Re: OT: Refresh Rate

LCD's don't update in the same way that a crt monitor would. A lcd stays the same until it changes color, but a crt needs a high refresh rate since it has to draw everything over again even if it's...

Re: OT: Psychopaths the best poker players?

I don't really think it's just because they have some sort of mental disorder, I think it's more because they don't think about the value of money. This means that as long as you've played enough...

Re: Running Ice Cold. Is This A Normal Downswing or Has The Plane Cras

You're always gonna feel unlucky, because the donks play worse cards than you do and draw you out. You won't remember winning with better hands, only losing with them.

Selective memory plays...

Re: Poll: 2 questions for ALL STT posters!

Where's the alternative for break even? I've played 200 Sng's on my first $50 deposit and still at about $200. Maybe counts as winning, but I see it as pretty much break even.

A7 turned bad (PP $11)

Ok this hand just freaked me out. Villain was kinda donkish, called an all-in with A on two-paired board then won all his chips with two rivered flushes.

Villain (t2500)

Re: should I of folded this house 20+2

Why should you think about getting away from the hand if it gets scary?
Try to make the most out of it instead. You have a great hand, it's disguised and will probably be paid off by any ace out...

Re: JJ on the bubble (PP $11)

SB was pretty tight-passive. Think I only saw him raise PF once, with KK or something. Did call a lot though, busting the short stacks he called two all-ins with QJs, thats why I put him on a weaker...

Re: Finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd question

Noone can ever tell you what's normal for you. I'm a lot (too?) aggressive when I'm in the money though, so I have a lot more firsts and thirds that I have seconds. I'm also a pretty good heads up...

Betting into a paired flop

This is just an example, I don't really want an analysis on just this hand, but a discussion about a weak two pair on a paired flop.

Late in a MTT, I'm the short stack with half of the two...

Re: flopped a set with a flush on board

You should definitely just have checked behind on the river. There is no way someone would call a bet here with something you have beat, and if you're lucky, you might just win the pot with your set.

Re: Should I fold this top 2?

The only hand you can be afraid of here is 55, most people I play would raise preflop with queens/jacks.

Since we know nothing about the table, I might say the pot-sized bet might be a tad too big...

The problem with this hand is the flop, since he just called an early position raise from the small blind, I think the chances of him having a medium pocket pair is pretty good. With three...

I really didn't find SS2 that useful. At least not the Texas chapter, but the Omaha bit seems pretty good to me. Haven't read a lot about it somewhere else, so I can't compare it though.

Re: My magazine article this month.

I just read the article, and it's really messing with my mind.

If folding TC's KK hand is the action bluff, then calling would be the semibluff, right? I just can't see folding KK there being +EV,...
