Re: Foxwoods Saturday (bump)

The Yankees won 3 games in the ALCS last year...

How'd that work out for ya?! Jeter swallows.

Re: If you are out of chips in mid hand- can cash play?

This rule is a good one;

Agreed -- It was always annoying having someone at the table /w huge wads of bills.

Re: If you are out of chips in mid hand- can cash play?

Sorry for being slightly OT, but to add to the list, Foxwoods does now only allow $100's to play on the table. I felt stupid last week, as I had known this but still gave the guy next to me 2 $50's...

Re: Foxwoods roll-call for this Saturday 7/23?

I may be around, I'm getting there tonight around 9 and if I can get a room somehow for Thurs/Fri I'll be around.

Re: Foxwoods on Friday: when to arrive?

What games are you planning to play? On Fridays I try to get there by 4:00pm at the absolute latest, but usually I'll arrive around 2:00pm.

Re: Time for Another Mohegan Rumor

Wasn't the room at Foxwoods downstairs quite a few years ago...? I can't remember because I was too young to play, but I had been there and I swear it wasn't upstairs back then. Odd to be moving back...

Foxwoods 07/12 - 07/14

Anyone planning on being around? I'm planning on playing the baby nl game from around noon on the 12th until the tournament that night. I'll probably stay over at the two trees that night and try to...

Tuesday Night Tournaments @ Foxwoods

Any thoughts from those of you who have played this tourney multiple times? How long are the levels (didn't see it mentioned in the July Tourney flyer)? I've played this tournament once before and it...

Re: is the cap on the 1/2 nl games in Foxwoods really $100?

I totally disagree /w the people who are saying outright that the 1/2 is unbeatable because of the $10/hr and the buy-in. I feel like it's quite beatable in fact, with relatively straight forward...

Re: Foxwoods over memorial day

After my 15 hour shift during the daytime, a few friends and I drove down and got there around 1:15am Monday morning. The list-board was broken, but with 100 people on the list ahead of me, it only...

Re: slow playing a set

I think you have to bet the flop, but if you check I think a raise is in order. By just calling, especially after the button has called, I can't imagine you get any information on what types of hands...

Re: Foxwoods May 13-15

I know I'm the early bird, but I'll be out there from Thursday afternoon through Friday afternoon. Probably playing either 2/4NL or 1/2NL depending on how the tables look. I'll be wearing a black...

Re: Top 2 pair - too much action?

I can't see calling in this situation, as you would have $72 left and the pot would be at $50. I'd be worried about the number of scare cards you are going to see on 4th and 5th and if a bet gets...

Re: Hand from the WSOP Step 2

Decent up to the river though? I agree, it was a horrible move on my part... I'm still at the point in my game where I lose concentration during play.

Hand from the WSOP Step 2

The check at the end is lame, my thought at the time was that I wouldn't get called with a worse hand... But, I assume a bet here is the right play. Just wanted comments on my line (leading up to the...

List -- Wait Times

I am not the type to raise my voice when it comes to open seats, because I feel it's usually a nice change, especially given it usually only lasts a few hands.

I do think, specifically at...

Re: Is calling an equal stacks all in with AK +EV or -EV?

I think given your take on the big stack I would have done the same thing. I don't see any problem with your push or the villain's call.

Re: Suggestions for my first trip to Foxwoods?

Too bad in the 100NL they stick it to you with $10/hr time charge. But I agree, the game is one of the softest I've played in.

Re: Suggestions for my first trip to Foxwoods?

I take the greyhound out of South Station so I can sleep on the way back. $26 round-trip. Usually plenty of space. Make sure to get one of the schedules that only stops once (Providence) as it'll be...

Re: Where to Eat at Foxwoods?

Thanks for all the advice -- Looks like I'll have a decent amount of variety, which when in the same place for 3 days is a treat.

Also, if anyone is around, I'll be playing 1/2NL, 4/8 HE, and...

Where to Eat at Foxwoods?

Never eaten there before, as I never stay for more than two sessions. What are the best places to eat from a price:quality ratio? I'll be staying there Monday afternoon to Wednesday night.

Re: Foxwoods 1/2 NL - First experience

The way you describe the game seems to be on-target, in that it is usually played that way. I sit at this game 1-3 times a week and generally try to play fairly tight/aggressive. Generally, unless I...
