Re: Do you play along to keep the table happy?

Suggest that his policy is too meanspirited, and that you think the winner should split the pot with the loser. That would be the truly friendly thing to do. Giving the loser only a dollar is just...

Re: More fancy play, or proper exploitation of opponent aggression?

Thanks guys. It's good to know that I wasn't totally off base. I can definitely see why raising the turn would probably be better. Oh, and I did in fact raise on the river -- the case 3 came along....

More fancy play, or proper exploitation of opponent aggression?

Party 2/4, 10 handed. I'm in the CO wih 33.

Preflop: 1 EP limper to me, I call. Button folds, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: 3 7 A rainbow

SB bets, BB calls, EP raises. I call and the blinds...

AKo, passive play and then a river freakout

Am I getting too fancy here, or is this an appropriate heads up play?

Party 2/4, 9 players. I'm UTG+1 with AKo

Preflop: 1 fold, I raise. 1 fold, MP 3 bets. Folded around to me and I call.

Re: playing too fancy for 2/4?

I would think the majority of the time you're going to get either reraised or called down by a better hand.

Re: 20/40 against sfer

Darn inflation.... you know things are getting bad when 20/40 is "small stakes".

Re: Played this like a wimp?

Raise the flop where it's cheaper. You may pick up the pot, or slow him down.
As is, I'd probably fold the turn. Small pot, fairly weak hand.

Re: KQ the Dominated

I think you played it fine.... AK is less likely because he smooth called you PF. KT is possible for many low limit players, but if he's the kind who'd play KT, then he's also the kind who would call...

Re: Poll:Who limps small pocket pairs UTG?

Typical 3/6: fold. However there are 3/6 games that are loose/passive enough that I wouldn't fold, they just aren't as common. 2/4: almost always limp.

Re: When a flop bet comes from your right....

Raise the flop to charge any flush draws and to protect against freakish draws. The turn 3 bet feels like he may have flopped a set, so I'd be a little leery about capping. At the very least call it...

Re: The state of Party Poker 3/6

Thanks for the reply! Just to clarify for others who may reply, I'm mainly interested in if the 3/6 *full* tables have changed significantly since they added the SH tables.

The state of Party Poker 3/6

I've been away from internet poker for a few weeks. Right before I left, Party just added shorthanded 3/6 tables. I normally played 3/6 full, so I gave the shorthanded ones a few tries, but not...

Re: want to Mac it up....

I own a Mac too, but have a PC just for poker... the PC is a 4 year old machine running Win2000. Would Virtual PC on a current dual processor Mac really run PartyPoker worse than my 4 year old PC?

I would probably fold those with only two limpers. Give me four limpers and I might start completing. This isn't based on any sort of math or analysis though -- they just seem like hands that are too...
