Re: Jackpots in Atlantic City?

They are illegal. The CCC will only allow them if it is not player funded. The Tropicana for a time had one, but they got rid of it.

Re: Opening of new room @ Hilton (AC)

What games were they spreading? I am assuming the room will be the typical 2/4 Limit and 1/2 NL.

Re: not all of htem are that way

Sands and Resorts (you can get match play coupons for table games at Resorts if you ask for them at the cage) make you play. The others don't. I take a bus often from Cheesequake.

Other than the cheater aspect I thought it was quite interesting about how they tried to portray WPT like events in that:

During the week (Sun. - Thurs.) the Borgata rate is $39 if you play for eight hours, $59 for five hours.

Re: Borgata Poker Room: Underperforming Urinals (LC)

I sometimes just go upstairs and use the restroom near the main entrance instead of having to deal with the poker room restroom.

Re: Time pots

My presence must forbid time pots then, because I can count on my left hand how many time pot sessions I have played at 10/20 at the Borgata. And when I played 20/40 two weeks ago, I won pots during...

Re: Time pots

Borgata 10/20 people usually do not do time pots (some would not know what one is if you want to do one, and it takes too long to explain what it is), but higher it is common.

Re: Time vs Rake

I don't blame a casino for charing time for 1/2 NL. Not as many hands are played, thus the rake collection will be smaller. Plus, NL games make the bad players broke faster, so the casino won't get...

Re: Time pots

Like Jeffage said, one reason is to speed up the game. With a $7 charge, the dealer often has to make change (in comparison with a $5 charge), and it can take a little while. (That and using a 4/8...

The article implies that 10/20 and above hold'em are spread in many rooms. The only rooms that regularly spread 10/20 and above hold'em are Taj and Borgata. Tropicana spreads it when there is...

Re: 20/40 vs 10/20 in AC

In my limited experience playing Borgata 20/40, it was always more aggressive than the 10/20. You rarely see a reraise in 10/20, while in 20/40 it is not uncommon. As Prodigy said, a raise in 20/40...

Re: ISO Atlantic City casinos with poker room rates this weekend

I got a room at Borg for Monday and Tuesday, are they typical dead then too? If they are, I may not bother going.
FWIW, I called early last week for these rooms.
