Re: Heads-up 5-10 PL hand
Well, there's no guarantee that he raises. And I'd hate to see the turn pair the board or put four to a straight when I'm out of position in a big pot. My opponent was pretty aggro, so I thought he...

Heads-up 5-10 PL hand
This was on partypoker last night. I have about 3k behind; villain has 2k. We've been playing about an hour and he seems to be tilting as he's down 2k since we started. I was raising about 60% of...

Re: All in at the river?
Hi Iceman,
Based on your description of SP, I think you were totally justified in pushing. Villain seems to be the type of opponent who a) overvalues his holdings and b) thinks the key to poker is...

Re: 50+5 Rebuy Final Table (Live)

50+5 Rebuy Final Table (Live)
About 75 entrants. Top prize is $4,000. Table is 6 handed, and I've been raising about 65% of hands pre-flop and taking them down uncontested. The whole table notes this, but has yet to play back...

Re: Re-raising non group 1 hand pre-flop
Hi Woodguy,
I've actually experimented with that concept as well (in cash games, sng's, and mtt's). While I find it to work well in cash games, I think it's a risky proposition in tournaments with...

Turned straight on paired board.... 5-5 PL
Villain is an utter moron. Calling raises w/ 4,10 suited... going all in w/ the sucker straight... calling all-ins with gut shots... we each have $1200 behind. 7-handed. I have J...

Re: right move or overly aggressive?
I'm sure he saw Gus Hansen or Negreanu do it on the WPT, so he thought he'd demonstrate his superior poker knowledge and do something unorthodox like raise utg w/ suited connectors... of course, he...

unnecessary raise?
kujo had limped into almost every pot and taken them down with positional bets, so I wanted to take the pot right there... of course, the BB was a problem. Should I have raised 9,9 in the first...

Re: what do you think?
I'm not sure I'd make this play, but what about just calling and going from there? Of course, it depends on your read on your opponent and if he will push the flop regardless of what comes.

flopped trips... c/r on river... now what?
This happened at Hollywood Park 2/3 NL. Min. buy-in is 100. Villain and I each have about 600. Villian is BB and my read on him is that he's somewhat on the LAGgy side, but backs off once someone...

Re: McSucker\'s return to SNGs. How\'s this hand?
Hey,
IMO, I think the call on the flop may have been too loose. The board was paired and it showed two clubs... meaning you were probably drawing to 6 outs at best and could very easily have been...
