Re: Folding KK On The Bubble - Good? Bad? Ugly?
Huh? This is an obvious call, you have no chance of winning if you can't pull the trigger and call with KK here.
Let's assume you win 80% of the time if you call with this hand.
Your Ev of...

Re: Omaha Hi/Lo: lost a bet, or made a bet?
Peter,
This really is a judgement on how well you think the SB plays. Without knowing this, I would have played the hand just as you did. You bet the flop which most likely means you have a K. ...

Re: More Lessons: Of course Greg is right again.
I guess the big assumption here is how does the UTG player play with a small stack. We are guessing since we are not at the table observing the play. You assume he is very desperate and I don't...

Re: Newbe Opinion, I agree
I agree with the Newbe, there is no need to gamble with 88 in this spot, since I think it's safe to assume your a coin flip at best with this hand in this position and you could be a big dog with...

Re: BOB\'S ADVICE IS RIGHT
Buzz,
Your correct that being suited is very important in this game and yes 234Ks is slightly profitable and 234K ns is not. However, I'm answering this question in the context of a new player in...

Re: Lucky 7\'s
I'll help. /images/graemlins/cool.gif I've played at Foxwoods and yes the number of desks is important. While more decks hurt the card counter they help making 3 7's more likely.
Foxwoods is...

BOB\'S ADVICE IS RIGHT
I actually think Bob's advice is very good and don't play 234K, I don't play much low limit but this is not a scooping hand and will cost you money. Sure you can dump it when the Ace doesn't hit but...

Re: NL $30SNG - KK hand, Please critique
Yes,
Much bigger bet before the flop. I don't understand the minimum bet raise before the flop, I have seen AA lose so many times because of it. I think a $200 bet preflop is about right.

Re: Long Run Probability Question
No, it's only true if you bet your entire bankroll. If you bet a fixed amount and your bankroll is large enough to withstand the deviation of results you will not go broke especially if you are...

Re: Limit Tourney hand that haunts me....bump
I would base my decision on my observation of the 3 bettor. The opening raise probably doesn't mean much, he raises with a lot of hands, plus he's 1st in so he should raise if he's going to play. ...

Re: Expected Value in Football
I admit I have not read this paper, I'll try to find it but I was commenting on the statement that is usually correct to go for it on 4th down vs punting and this to me is nonsense.
In college...

Re: 7-3 all-in
I don't like your move here but his call is even worse. At the $5 level, that type of move has a high chance of being called. Since this player is willing to call with that garbage you read him...

Re: Expected Value in Football
Punting vs going for in on 4th down comes down to a risk vs reward and usually the risk outweighs the reward which is why in most cases teams punt. Teams don't run bad when trying for 4th downs...

Re: Expected Value in Football
Go Pats! However the Patriots also used the 4th down punt last week to pin the dolphins deep which caused them to score their only touchdown. Punting is correct in a game of field position.

It's hard to answer this without knowing the buy-in and what 8th place gets paid as well as the other 7 spots. If the payoff is enough, I would probably wait and let the BB or the UTG+1 players get...

Re: Party 30 SNG 4 player left situations
true, unless the X=J,10 then your in bad shape. I agree this is +EV play but in these SNG with many bad players I would wait for a much better EV play and going all in now might make you miss the...

Re: Party 30 SNG 4 player left situations
in hand #2, you have to estimate what's the chance of getting called is and because it's a Party $30 SNG the odds based on my experience are very high making this a fold. Most people online have no...

Re: Party 30 SNG 4 player left situations
1) call, the button probably has something since he's raising the big stack.
2) At party, I would Fold. J 10 is not a good hand to have if dealing the cards hot and cold and many times someone...

Re: O/8 flop raise -- good play or not?
yes, you should raise the flop, make anybody chasing for low pay and make anyone drawing pay. Why did the player show his cards and then go rabbit hunting. I hope you didn't show anyone what you...
