Switching from B&M to On-line

I can see this happening over the Xmas break while I am away from my home town for a while.

A few quick questions:
What's involved in working off your bonus?

At the end of 100 hrs in the B&M I...

Re: Middle Pair

Probably better to bet the flop yourself IMO. Though you are only ahead of smaller pocket pairs and AK

Having not done that, this pot doesn't seem worth the effort, unless you feel it worth paying...

Re: How\'s everyone play AJo?

I muck it in EP.
Raise it in every other position.
Fold it to a raise.

Re: 88 check/raise river?

Don't you want to make money on this hand?

Bet the flop, turn, and river.

This may produce different action, which would alter this at the river.

Preflop - 6 handed

The table has just lost 3 players.

No SB
BB is inexperienced, loose passive
UTG is sound old guy
MP is regularly out of line and loose agressive. He has LRR with a weak unsuited Ace earlier....

Re: Middle pair against a TAG, crowd on the flop.

I posted yesterday a few questions on this hand type.

One thing that came across unanimously was that this hand is a preflop raise. This combined with the 3 bet suggested post flop would seem to...

Medium pocket pairs

I have recently begun raising medium pockets pairs (8-T) in middle and late position with no raise in front (as per Lee Jones).

First question is confirming the why. I presume for value?

The...

UTG with K7s

Table has been mostly loose passive to this point 5-6 to the flop.

Cute young girl just sucked out on the river to complete a full house and pulled down a decent pot much to the amusement of the...

Its 6:00am Saturday morning, you have been shifting through broken tables for the past few hours. There has been 2 cycles of the button with 7-8 players seeing every flop for one bet. You image is...

Re: QJs-GutShot & FLDR, Overplay?

I really like the flop play, especially the 3rd raise.

Like others I think the turn was overplayed.

Re: AKs Standard?

Doesn't your read and the pot size suggest:
folding after the flop check raise.
If not it surely says fold to the turn bet and wait for a better position.

Through yesterdays session I received a string of premium overcards AK, AQ suited and not. For three loop of the button I must have received them on 12 out of 27 hands.

It seemed like each hand...

Re: How can I best take advantage of this oddly-structured 4/8 game?

I don't have TOP in front of me, but I thought TOP related the blinds to the size of later bets not the pot.

The concept being that if the blinds are large compared to later bets, your winning...
