Re: Am I a Donkey?

I play this the same. Your flop bet is good. You have a vulnerable hand and there's no reason to tie people to the pot with a checkraise. UTG may also raise overs or a draw and drive out sb. Your...

Re: Rate this river fold - blind battle 10/20

I play this the same if you don't think he'd cap the turn w/ 87 no club (although he can't have 8c7c and you chop with tc8c). If the river was a non-club I'm not sure the decision is any different....

Re: Turn

Donking the turn is fine. I think people underestimate how often even very aggressive players check behind the A here. A better reason than that though is that he'll be much more likely to fold his...

Re: is this a bet/fold river situation?

Why would you bet/fold the river? I think the best you can hope for is a chop with AQ although there is a small chance he has AJ, either of which he'll bet anyway, and you don't want to risk folding...

I think you've got to pay off. When someone beats you with quads you just say "nh". People will call/bet these types of hands with almost any pair, not just the 4th ace.

basically the idea that you need a better hand to call a raise with than you need to raise yourself.

AK about :15 in. You 3 bet a 45/14 3 handed from the BB. He raises Q hi draw heavy board, now it's hu. K falls on the turn and you check. I generally donk the turn. There's a good chance he'll...

Re: The ol\' checkcall checkcall bet

Don't like it. The only hands that you're ahead of which will call your raise are A6, A7, and A8, and he might not raise all of these from MP.

Re: I HATE making this laydown

I think this is a good fold. Solid SB waking up on the turn in a protected pot after coldcalling that flop means you're beat. There really aren't any goofy semibluffs that he might have here to...

As long as you're very confident in your read, I see nothing wrong with your line. You save a bet when behind and gain a bet when ahead, because he would likely check behind either the turn or the...

Re: Questionable plays on all streets..

Even though you were good here vs his 77, I don't think you're good here often enough to warrant a raise, and you're opening yourself to a 3 bet.

I probably play this the same given your read. On the turn you very likely have 5 clean outs when behind, with tne Td being a little shaky, plus you're ahead of diamond draws and bluffs. I'm folding...

Preflop is fine and not worth talking about. I would've 3 bet the flop and gone from there. I hate the river raise. Based on BB's stats and the fact he's made it to the river means there's...
