Re: Eff you 2005

I've never actually taken a shot before; I've always waited until I was fully bankrolled and then just moved up full time. This is quite disheartening.

On the plus side, its nice to know there...

Eff you 2005

So I figured I'd take a shot at 5/10 NL before the end of the year. I played well; built up a stack, then got busted when a guy hit a 2-outer on the turn (most of the money went in before then). 3...

Re: Mid stakes HU matches official sign up

Don't we need a password to use the special Stars HU matches the HSNL board uses?

Totally unnecessary river push. If he's folding, he's folding to a much smaller bet. I don't think you get enough instances to use the image of pushing (whether called or not) to make the push good...

Re: I feel like people are taking advantage of my continuation bets...

Bluff 3bet those obnoxious minraises once in a while. People in mid-stakes games love to make "good" folds when you show them that their medium pair is no good. You don't have to do it very often...

Re: $400 - SB flopped 2 pair

Given what you've said in this thread, your line is fine up until the river, where you should call. You beat missed draws, 3-barrel bluffs, and he can't push you off what he thinks is a split (aces...

Re: $400 - SB flopped 2 pair

Is the flop rainbow? What exactly was the turn? In this situation, there are few bricks as almost everything could conceivably help someone in a limped pot.

Re: $2/$5 NL Live hand

The good thing about this hand is that you are almost never way behind. The only hands that are killing you are JJ and 99 and I feel like the solid player would often raise those holdings on the...

Re: Blind steal turned draw

The worst thing you did this hand was the tiny preflop reraise. You have zero folding equity with that. Generally, I like to reraise pot if I reraise preflop but I'll reraise slightly larger in a...

Live 2/5 98s

The way you played the hand is not bad, I was just giving my side and what I would have done. In games I play, I make money off of hands like 98 and T8 by calling the turn and betting the river. ...

Re: QJs > Nuts > Action

From villain's perspective, he can get away from a ton of hands when you raise him both on the flop and turn. If you call the turn, you get more money in on the river against many of those hands...

Re: QJs > Nuts > Action

I would've just called the turn. Villain's line from a thinking player looks like he's probing to see if you were raising a draw on the flop. If you raise both flop and turn, he can fold a ton of...
