Re: So where do I post topics about poker...

I don't see a forum called "general"... only main catgories with subforums that are specific and different from what I want to post about?

Re: Stud/8 newbie: Is this rough list of starting hands accurate?

These I'd almost always fold:

11: 3 to an 8 low
12: 3 to a flush (2 babies)
13: 3 to a high straight
14: Baby pair + big kicker
15: 3 to a middle straight

I\'ve discovered that one of the funnest things about stud is....

PP stud high 0.5/1

You really are getting the odds to call with all sorts of junk and get to suck out on everybody. It's tons of action. The rake will be huge compared to whatever edge you have...

Thanks and you too.

Note that it's not thanksgiving anywhere outside of the US so far as I know.

Re: WWJD?

Since he waited until 6th to raise, I'd think he's raising with the expectation that you'll call. Now that you 3bet, whats your line on the river if you miss? c/c or c/f?

Re: AK OOP /w straight/flush draw. Find me a better line!?

I think folding the turn might be a good idea. But his combination of weak flop + strong turn made be suspect that he was probably trying to steal the flop and semibluff the the turn when he picked...

Re: Staying aggressive with aces + low draw

if you think aces up have a good chance of winning high, then i'd jam it every street.

Re: AA w/ 2 Kings OTF

i think i fold the flop to his minreraise. If you wanted to get all your chips in the middle, i'd wait until the turn to do it so you'll have a higher chance of getting money from a worse hand.

Re: Did I overplay QQ?

for the people who disagrees with my line, what would you rather do?
Push the flop feels the worse since you get the least from what you are ahead of and still loses everything to what you are...

Re: Thin Squeeze (or maybe just a nutter butter spew)

I see a lot of places that I would fold, and think there is too high a chance that you are beaten to continue let alone raise.
