Re: 5/10: QQ vs. lolo

[ QUOTE ]
Lolo is capable of having quad aces here, and also capable of having 74s.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well that makes it almost impossible to give advice for the river. So, let's backtrack. I...

Re: AK in peculiar spot

[ QUOTE ]
Do you really want to bet 3/4 of the pot and give away the strentgh of your hand?

[/ QUOTE ]

No, you want to bet at least 3/4 pot to protect your hand. Your hand is not that...

Re: I\'m weak - 88 with Q on flop

[ QUOTE ]
Do you just give up on this hand OOP, and maybe play it stronger in position?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes.

Folding here (on the flop) is not a leak because you will make that money back on...

Re: 5/10: QQ vs. lolo

It may be different at 5/10, but up to 2/4 I feel as though these river overbets are almost always the near nuts.

Re: AK in peculiar spot

Obviously, this all depends on your past c/b's, etc., but I would bet at least 3/4 pot on the flop (probably closer to pot though). That is a draw heavy flop. I do not agree to check behind on the...

Re: Party 50NL (4 handed) - Pure bluff on river

lol, crawlycreep is still grinding down there, huh.

I actually think this is a good spot to pull this. I can't see him checking a hand that can call you. But of course, your read isn't great, and...

Villain is 26/6/2 over 220 hands. It is the first big hand I have ever played against him. Tell me what you think of my line (standard, maybe) and kudos to he that guesses his hand.

Re: KJs hand vs river bet

[ QUOTE ]
I'm curious as to why I should be betting $3 on the turn, but thanks.

Because if he calls, he will normally check the river - giving you a free showdown which is what...

Should I be willing to go broke on this paired board?

[/ QUOTE ]

Hell no

Check/folding this river is standard

Also, I would have led the turn

Re: Sure I\'m fearless, but am I reckless? QQ hand, 50NL

Against a complete donk, I think this line is fine. Against an unknown I would probably check the turn and call/value bet the river.

I am having a really hard time seeing what happened pre-flop here. You got re-raised it looks like. If so, you should drop AJo right there.

Why are you betting this flop at all, let alone into the...

Re: AA help - $25 Pokerstars

Make it at least $1.50 to go pre-flop (nit-picky, I know).

Make a pot-sized raise on the flop ($5.00 instead of $3.00).

Push the turn. You will be good here often enough to make it profitable.

Re: Do we limp low PP (22-55) UTG?

Because you are going to be playing a raised pot, out of position, with 3 guaranteed overcards on the flop. 6-max, I will usually raise 77+ (sometimes...

Re: Facing preflop 3 bet with QQ

The fact that you are short stacked might change things (don't play short-stacked), but I would say this is AA/KK 80%+

Re: Facing preflop 3 bet with QQ

The feeling in this forum is that limp(min-raise in this case)/re-raises are almost always AA/KK.
