Re: Quit showing your cards when you fold in a multi-way pot!

Lots of cardrooms have like a 3-strike rule. There's nothing else they can do in that situation.

Re: $10+$1 Rebuy AK hand

Agree with binions here. Although I don't think throwing this hand is that difficult. We've commited very few chips to the pot so far.

Just pretend like you bet out and were raised on the flop...

Re: 25+2, Open for comments

#1 Kyle, go to sleep. Your post is very difficult to read/understand. I do ... kind of understand what you are saying in certain parts, but most of your talk is circular.

#2 and more...

Re: Best Tournaments (multi and Single)

Party continues to have the softest games at any level comparatively (ie 15/30 Stars vs 15/30 Party Poker)... at least on Bonuswhores. I'm sure this applies to tournies as well.

Re: Results.......

37% equity you are NOTTTTT a dog. Jeezus. For every single chip out there you are a strong favorite.

However, I do not mind your fold AT ALL. Considering the relatively medium sized blinds, you...

Re: KK shortstacked

Can't raise without pushing.

This is how I see it... It depends on how your opponents perceive you. What have you been doing up to this point? Raising a lot? Push. Limping a lot? Limp-push.

Re: $10+$1 Rebuy AK hand

The chance that the villain is attempting to steal a very mediocre sized pot with this bet is not very high.

He is unlikely to be trying to take advantage of the tightness of another player on the...

Re: Best Tournaments (multi and Single)

That's a very interesting take on it eMarkM. I've never thought of it quite like that. But I do agree with it, though I think you can take advantage of these mistakes on either site. Unfortunately, I...

Re: Thinking ahead with continuation bets

I think JJ made somewhat of a poor play that failed to protect his hand. While I will say that he was able to get the best of it, I think it would be smarter for him to bet out the flop and take it...

Re: $10+$1 Rebuy AK hand

I certainly agree pip. The only reason I would say that this villain here raises is because of the incredible agressiveness shown on the river. I see him to be agressive, not as passive as perhaps if...

Re: $10+$1 Rebuy AK hand

He could also have a monster, like 22 55 or JJ. Calls are scary. AJ would likely not call in this situation. Neither would QQ. They should both raise, at least to find out where they are. A call...

Re: $10+$1 Rebuy AK hand

Yes I understand that, but I'd put it at the very minimum, if even that (the Harrington 10%). However, I'd lean on the side of conservative because of the fact that I've already *assumed* that this...

Re: Best Tournaments (multi and Single)

I like many people believed that Party Poker had the worst structure, but it only seemed like that because of the 1k starting stack size. However, there are some things that are + and - about Stars...

Re: $10+$1 Rebuy AK hand

The range of hands I would put villian on are

AK-TKs
AK-JK,
22
55
JJ

Of these, the three pairs, JK, and JKs beat AK. I would hesitate to say that JK is a real possibility because the flop...

Silly thing to complain about

As the previous poster said, it's a difficult job to run around accurately taking down while watching from a very crowded and uncomfortable position. If you're going to complain about live and free...

Re: So I raised with my 77 and then

I don't think its necessarily right to devalue the 7 clubs as much as some people do. It's a possibile out, maybe not even worth a full single out, but it adds a very tiny amount of value for a...

Re: ATo in MP with lots of blind money in - raise it up???

I like the play on the turn and river (nice river too).

As for the theory, I do like the idea, but I'm not sure that raising here will be that great of an equity push. The "dead" money means they...

Re: 4/8 Reverse Clarkmeistering

Definitely agree to checking. If he was on some sort of club draw, he's made it. He might have had top pair weak kicker and the weak kicker was a club (or some random variety of this); and if he's...

Re: pair + flush draw

agreed. definitely like the c-r here. only beware of the action, could get caught by a bigger flush if you see a lot of action in a pot like this with this board.

Re: AK river play

While folding on the turn 3-bet or calling are close, folding on the river would be a much bigger mistake than any turn mistake you could make.

As for the turn, I would probably call down. His...

Re: Another College Student Story

I'm not going pro. I'd only do if it if I didn't have a job coming out of college, and it'd be under the idea that it would be temporary and more for fun.

And I don't think I'd ever claim of being...

fold preflop to avoid these situations. You could even be behind AJ. You'll never have any idea playing this way.

Re: Ultimate Freeroll - moral conundrum

They'll figure it out. No website will give away that much money by accident and not figure it out.
