your blind play is so terrible...

play tons more hands from the SB in unraised pots, defend your BB a ton ton ton more. in general you seem weak-tight postflop too.

Re: It\'s that time....15/30 stats post

Thanks for the insight. So...say a 20/11 opens in the CO, folds to you in the BB, what range are you calling/raising?

It\'s that time....15/30 stats post

My first 30K hands at 15/30 and I've made $9.57. I'm gonna go buy a cheeseburger. I'm especially curious how my steals/steal defense stats look like since I'm new to this structure.

30,137 hands...

Re: Deepish KQ Hand

The way he played it it looks like a draw (ATs, AJs,JTs). He may have had a monster, he may have spiked a Jack on the river or he may be shoving with air, but after that turn check I think you're...

How do you maximize EV in Party rebuys?

With the ability to rebuy prematurely in Party rebuys, what is the best way to exploit this? Should you play normally and rebuy when you're all in, or should you go out of the way to get these...

With an M of 5 I would probably raise to 3000 here and go all-in on the flop regardless of what comes. You need to acquire a fair amount of chips in order to achieve a significant...

Re: Throwing the Changeup

I think it sucks balls but I would probably fold. You are showing some serious strength and he still caps the turn. Do you really think he ever does this with QQ+?

Re: The Tax Man Cometh

So...if you had a $100K in winning sessions and $50K n losing sessions does that mean your income is $100K and you're in that tax bracket? That seems pretty harsh. BTW, yes I am a student.

River raise and fold to a 3bet. Getting capped on the turn really sucks.

Re: The Tax Man Cometh

I'm in Texas.
One more question, how are tournament wins reported? Is it the same column of income and losses?

The Tax Man Cometh

I didn't have to pay taxes last year, and this year I've made about $60K from online poker. I haven't had to worry about income over $2K until this year.

Is it pertinent to get a CPA?

Re: Party for free tournament

I think last time there was about 2200 people, so $45 a person. I think it's the best use of party points compared all the other crappy options.

Re: 10/20, two power hands

I would still fold pf. On these draw heavy boards, you shouldn't be worried about extracting value, you should knock people out, especially in the KJ hand you must 3bet the flop.

i be tmore on the flop, and probably call small turn bets.

Re: QQ on an A high flop.

I usually reraise pf. His bets look weak, but I still don't see any benefit of raising the river.

Re: What\'s your typical pre-flop line with AK facing a min-raise behind?

I reraise. Too many people will come in and the big blind gets good odds.

I can't fathom a call here, I just don't see what you're ahead of against two opponents. you could be drawing to as little as 2 outs. someone wanna explain why to call here?
