Very standard situation
Ok, so this is a situation I assume people get into frequently when playing from position and using a flop raise to get a free card on a draw that never comes. I will make up a hypothetical hand,...

Re: Stop and Go
I think you need to raise here- if you raise one of three things could happen: (1) he could fold (in that case, I dont think he was gonna fire again on the river and probably you dont give away any...

Where did this go most wrong?
No read on opponent- and I think i messed this up in so many ways. I guess the best place for me to get out would have been the turn...
He was on button and had about 80 dollars, I had $65 or...

Re: AQ I think something is up
Yeah, i am not sure what you plan to accomplish by checking that turn, especially if you plan to call a possibly dangerous river card. It seems like the check is the worst possible situation unless...

Standard problem....
so you are heads up with a hand like AK in late position- make your standard raise- you get one caller. The flop misses- check to you. I know this might be stupid- but do you bet out every single...

Most difficult decision I have had to make....
sitting at this 1/2 no limit table at the Borgata in AC for about 10 hours. BB is a generally good player who is majorly on tilt right now. MP is a bellow average player who is loose calling...

Re: Disappointment
I read a lot here that min-raises are always bad... but why is a min-raise against an in-attentive opponent bad? Most of the time, they read a min-raise as weakness rather than as strength- so you...

Re: Hand 1 for analysis
I dont think your pre-flop call is TERRIBLE, if only to mix stuff up, especially if you can outplay him post-flop. I am not a fan of leading into him on the flop, as you are surely going to get...

Re: Avoiding trouble hands in live 1/2 NL
No, you made the right play. With two people acting already, you gotta think one of them might have you beat, and in any case, its going to be too expensive for you to find out. TPTK is a good way...

I folded, and Villan didn't show. He claimed to have 10 7o.
It didn't bother me at the time but the more i think about it the more it bugs me.

Re: AA no good?
I have to disagree. If he raises more when he has monster pre-flop hands, he wont get the respect for his AQ or 99 regular size raises. Pick a raise ammount (Adjust for limpers) and make taht raise...

Re: What to do...
The thing with playing KJ in this game, is that it is often the best hand, and a lot of times people will be playing K6, k7 and pay you off all the way down. Any more thoughts on this?

Re: Throw away \'the book\'?
I agree with this post mostly. I do not like calling raises with crap, but I do like to limp in with almost ANY two cards from relatively decent position if the stacks are deap and I feel like I can...

Re: OMG im so weak.
I like the PF play a lot- it lets you know where you stand. If he re-reaises you, you can put him on QQ-AA and fold- if he just smooth calls you, you got a pretty good idea your K and A are live...

What to do...
Button is a very loose pre-flop player who will call with anything and raise with marginal hands (J10 or better is usually a raise). BB is a tighish calling station, who is usually pretty bad, but...

Re: Do you lay down these trips?
Yes, i am worried. It looks like you have one of them outkicked- which means that the other guys i holding something other than a 9. Most players would not play a flop boat this fast, so what...
