Re: New party \"Speed\" sngs

Yeah it looks cool, but I was just thinking wouldn't you be paying more fees? The tourneys are real fast so this means theres less hands to apply your advantage.

Ruling on suited pairs

At my work we have a cheap NL cash game we play on breaks. Anyways there was a hand where one guy got a card from the 2nd deck we were using and floped a suited pair of queens. Well he made a flush...

Re: best short term up swing ever?

Nice job guys!

I also just had a 40BB upswing in an hour playing one .5/1 table. There was a maniac who capped 70% of every hand on all streets. Makes poker so damn easy.

KQo wait to raise then fold.

BB is ultra fishy passive 70/0/.46 after 85hands. My table image might be overly aggressive as I was trying to isolate a UTG+2 maniac(90/80/4), and had just done so the previous two hands.

The...

Re: Practise Exercise

I've hit my first losing streak and am afraid some of it may be mental now. I'm gonna give this idea a shot, can't hurt.

Re: (censored) tax issues.

I don't know much about state taxes except Oregon's, which are almost the same as federal, but I know the federal code can make it very difficult and unfair(in my mind) to stay in compliance.

A couple of Queens

MP2 is 15/8/1.25

On the flop I was debating between calling MP2's flop raise then leading the turn, or playing it the way I did.

After the turn raise I figured MP2 for AA or KK.

Should I...

AK, played correctly?

Well should I have raised the flop? Folded the turn? This was a big enough pot I figured I had to call the turn.

table vpip was 29 and PFR 8

Re: AA Laydown?

Yeah when guy #3 makes it 3 to go, raising guys who have shown extreme aggresion, I'm thinking hes got a Q. If there are two of the same suit maybe hes raising a flush draw.

I think the correct...

Re: Was I correct to fold Quads?

you didn't fold quads.

this looks like a call to me, yet everyone has said fold. the raisers look pretty loose, so that final pot seems like an 'average' final pot.

Re: Just moved up to 5/10... 15/30 next?

Well you guys might be right. Maybe I just hit some good cards right away at 5/10 and got over confident. I really have a desire to become the best player I can be, and there are times I just shock...

Re: Just moved up to 5/10... 15/30 next?

Well I have 25k hands in my PT databasse, although mostly that is 2/4. I've played at B&M a fair amount too. I think the opponents are usually easier to beat at B&M but my game is a little better...

Just moved up to 5/10... 15/30 next?

I was doing good at 2/4 and thought I'd give 5/10 a shot. Well so far it seems just about as easy as 2/4. I had a steady 2-3BB/hr winrate at .5/10-2/4, and I've been able to stay at ~2BB at 5/10.

Was I correct to fold Quads?

Table VPIP was 30, raizor was 47/12/.48, 3bettor 34/12/1.3

I limped with 22 because I thought I would be able to get a lot of action with a set. The previous pot a guy capped turn and river with...

Re: J9s...need comments on the turn

Fold preflop.

Flop play looks fine. I'd plan on folding turn unimproved.

Hey you picked up flush draw, calling looks good. I would be scared MP1 has a set of 5's or 6's, and MP2 has a big pair....

Re: RESULTS ... and more

I'd bet that river. Lots of times when SB or BB has an A they'll bet out the river (not always but some of the time). Since this didn't happen I like your chances of having the best hand and getting...

Re: when to play small suited connectors

I'd probably play 54s before J7s but still I think I would want ~4 limpers or so in front of me on average. With these hands loose passive postflop play is nice, since you can get cheap draws and...

Re: should i stop betting a boat?

Well seems like most people think I shouldn't have 3-bet the river... and your right, I was shown TT. I still can't believe my opponent didn't cap the river, with only quads beating him.

I guess...
