AKs put to the decision...

Alright, I'm yet another limit player who wanted to spice it up some. First couple of orbits, no solid reads. I haven't seen anyone get out of line yet.

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $.25 BB...

Re: How aggressive is too aggressive?

Meh, it was first thing in the morning when I read this; I didn't even realize we were in the BB. Forgive me, calling is the correct play.

Re: How aggressive is too aggressive?

Preflop: I'm folding 88 here. WIth your read on MP1 you are at best playing against two overcards. This is fine and dandy if you can get the hand HU. However, since UTG is already in, and as you...

But doesn't that the fact that the SB bet and the BB called mean random/semi-random holdings are a little less likely?

I don't think it does. I think these players are...

Re: hey man, slow down, slow down (part 2)

[ QUOTE ]
Actually, on that turn card, AA is 3:2 more likely than AK. I missed that hero didn't keep putting in bets on the flop, which he should, but I change my vote to calling down on that turn...

Not saying we don't have alot of equity here, I'm just trying to prevent a bad habit forming of not putting opponnents on a range of hands

[ QUOTE ]
He called the flop with the intention of raising the turn but the A on the turn scared him because he is putting his opponent solely on AA

Re: 88 playing against no overcards

Yep, that about sums up the argument I was expecting. Unfortunately, against random blind hands, there are very few cards that will increase our pot equity enough to warrant waiting for the turn to...

Re: 88 playing against no overcards

[ QUOTE ]
The pot is small, and the straight draw is low, making it less likely. A raise here offers poor odds even to people calling one bet. Raising now is good.

Def. raise preflop.

Re: Middle pair with EP Bettor

I'm having a really hard time giving Hero even close to 5 outs here. I agree that a 7 is clean and will most likely send the pot Hero's way. However, the 9s are so dirty it hurts me.

First off,...

Re: Middle pair with EP Bettor

Fold the flop. The board is draw heavy and you won't be able to fold flush draws nor straight draws with a raise. A 9 puts three to a straight on the board and any heart puts out 3 to a flush. ...

Re: KK vs turn donk...

Well, what I think is that if we can fold to a 3 bet (which I believe we can) then I like the line. Otherwise, I hate it /images/graemlins/smile.gif.
