Re: $55: Blind war with QJs

yea - i prefer seeing the flop and outplaying the villain post flop. if you hit you can almost assuredly get big bucks from him - if you dont hit you can either wait for another hand (keeping that...

Re: TT hand, 55s

hate it when this happens but i play it exactly the same way. often wonder if im leaking on these. more often then not you get the follk on the turn, but when you dont think you stop the bleeding...

Re: PCA DSO Hand - 5 left - Do I make the call?

so first thing to answer is the range you put him on - if he opened and pushed utg its a good hand but not necessarily one of the top - think you can count out aa, kk. could see him pushing with...

Re: Taking the coin-flip to get a monster stack?

if i was playing i'd put the range smaller

i agree dont think its aa or kk. think good chance its QQ or ak. lesser chance to see 8s thrugh js and aq. having said all that time is right to call...

Re: Debate over hand

this really to me is all about your table image. i really try to mix up bets in a short game. sometimes pushing all in, sometimes min raising, sometimes a 3-4x raise. to me this is where alot of...

Re: party 750k hand

think its early to push it all in with a marginal hand. to me his raise equates to not wanting to be called/raised. i read that as aq with no clubs, kq no clubs, or a small flush. in the first...

Re: AK versus limp/caller JJ7,r flop

this is very read dependent to me. my std would be to CB on this to 1k into the 2500 pot. if im the villain im putting you on aj up or tens or higher. given that unless he has the j or a overpair...

Re: interesting turn card

so lets say you value bet this at say 400 chips - that leaves you with about 350. what next? whats the plan? if a fourth suited hits what do you do? i want to push him off any draw hand - if you...

Re: AQ hand, big laydowns, see a flop or tarzan?

easy fold - at best youre a 33% chance but most likely you are dominated with qs, kings, aces or ak

Re: interesting turn card

i push

- your probably ahead and id rather eliminate any stragglers as the spade draw is very worrisome
- the all in can be viewed as a bluff and may be called with a draw/lesser hand. for the...

Re: Weird Party $109 hand: TT UTG+1

gang

so i actually play this slow as i think your behind til the river. i put the villain on ak to at,jacks and maybe 9s and maybe kq. as such i take the free cards as long as you can - on the...

Re: Top pair, nut flush draw

think this comes down to pot odds versus tournament life. I'll buy the pot odds tell you to call any all in on this, but if someone goes all in your almost certainly the dog, in some cases a big...

Re: Top pair, nut flush draw

Boy - i sure dont see this as being way ahead of any hand besides trips. i actually believe you're behind here and only get top hand if the flush hits. I'd put the initial raiser on tens or higher...

Re: Stars $50 MTT. Did I play this right?

the turn call makes me very nervous - feels like a draw with a lot of outs or kxjd, kxtd, etc. id check the river and see what he does - imo your behind here - if he pushes i fold to live another...

Re: Limp, re-raise MTT.

so i may be the minority here but limping with a monster in early position hoping to get some action is a decent but very dangerous play - the moment he comes over the top i figure im at best a coin...

Re: I got heckled, but..

fair

i would say that reality of calling the push would be 88 or higher; a9 or higher; kq o; a5 suited or higher

now you can say i fixed these but think its fairly realistic. im sure you're...

Re: I got heckled, but..

absolutely - even if called your prob no worse then 60/40 - in some ways 47 are better to push then a2 - that way your almost certainly not dominated

Re: 44 2nd position with UTG limp

so - contrary to some philosophy i actually limp - hope to see a flop at that - if someone after pushes i call if its only one other - fold to more then one other in pot

Re: Short stacked in BB with short stack allin and isolation raise

amen - call and hope you have two live cards (i think very probable) - not a bad chance to basically triple up. also think theres a good chance they have dead cards between em (aces, kings etc).

Re: I got heckled, but..

Esp in this situation - i assume the guy had a plan pre-bet - and by putting in 20% of his stack he's alomost pot committing himself if you come over the top - that tells me (again assuming he had a...

Re: Amusing(and frustrating) Hand

i at least push the flop to make it bad odds to call with a flush draw - i would of been wrong but would of put one of the guys on a flush draw - in essence by smooth calling you gave them pot odds...

Re: I got heckled, but..

certainly agree it has a better chance of success, but if this is a $200 entry tourney do you want to risk the $300 payoff or so on this steal - would love an EV analysis on this if we had the info -...

Re: I got heckled, but..

ALot of info that i didnt see to make an accurate assessment. So if is on the bubble i think its a very poor play. If you had just made the money - it could be very good. Patience is always a...

Re: 1st hand, $55 sng

so this seems like a clear aa/kk/qq to me. standard three times raise, etc. and i think the betting pattern to me doesnt indicate anything that would lead me one way or the other. I'd push and if...

playing in my first wpt event a 1k buy in - about two hours in with blinds at 50/100. hadnt been getting any cards with my stack size at 3k with average at about 6k. I'm BB and get AQ off. the...
