Re: Results

1. with this hand?
2. High cards?
3. any 2 cards?
Prob better to ask this as its own question, but I get myself in these...

Re: Final table question
I guess I'm not understanding why you dont call this. You are risking 10K or 14K (1/5th of your stack) for either 25K in a 3 way if UTG and BB folds; 35K in a 4 way if either one calls, or a max of...

I seriously lost my mind. Maybe if my bluff had worked, I wouda been breaking my arm patting myself on my back. 3rd level of a $500/ 200 person live tourney. Blinds 25-50, about to go to 50-100 in...

No Limit Tourney Play - The Preflop Reraise
I posted this on RGP and got exactly ZERO responses.....
I think Im calling too often and not reraising enough preflop.
Hands like 99-QQ and AKo, KQs seem to be just money losers for me...

I'd guess the former on you. My wife is a marathon runner, so bloated is just not possible. I deposited $200 into both UB and PP 6 mos ago and have pulled out about $2-3K out of there w/o ever...

Re: raise the stakes...start a 2nd home game...
For those of us with lives, this is a legit question. For those of you with no family, no wife, no kids, a shelf full of raman noodles and a hot plate, then your advice may be great. I'm sure you...

Re: Has 3x become 4x?
Greg,
What do you think about raising 2x in early position, and then escalating that to 3x as you get closer to the button. Also only raising 2x as the small blind when Blind v Blind?
Thanks...

Re: Results of First 50 SNGs
For me, the easiest are the Pot Limit sit and gos. I am over 60% in the money in PL, about 50% in NL and 50% in O8B limit (sorry i play a $30 O8B sometimes while in a $100 NL/PL HE...they are fun). ...

Re: Are 2+2 NL Players weak-tight?
Im not sure Weak-Tight is correct. I do know that, especially on Party, when I just play good cards I win a lot of money in the 50 or 100 NL side game tables or single table tourneys. Of course the...

I either move him all in or I just call him. If the guy had been from the UTG position and not the blind I might have moved all in because the only thing he could have would be a flush and I would...

Re: River Explosion
I have never played in the 30-60 at the bellagio, but have spent some time in the 15-30 there. And I agree that usually the turn round gets bet and even raised. But what are you saying? He had a...

Re: River Explosion
Is a baby three of a kind a good enough hand to play that way? I don't think so. Maybe after the flop, but once the turn card produced the making of a flush and straight, he had to punish those...

Ouch, I just got back from the Bellagio and played in mostly the 15-30. I noticed people will blast away with raises and reraises all the way to the river with middle pair no matter what the board...

Playing too timid?

Re: have semibluffs become obsolete?
I am always amazed at how different every table plays. At some tables, as the preflop raiser, you can win the pot on the flop with another bet or raise. At other tables, they expect the preflop...
