Re: top set runs into trouble

i like the way you played it. you gotta stop and at least give some thought about him having the clubs. AK or AQ of /images/graemlins/club.gif is possible unless u were sure he wouldnt reraise...

Re: 99 overpair to suited flop

you should have raise the turn. He is a maniac after all so dont freak out when he calls your raise. He probably just had a big spade.

Re: Experiencing extreme tightness at the partyskin 200NL this weekend

despite how the game has changed just be happy with a table coughing up their blinds every hand.

Re: loose passive a good strategy? 200 NL

agreed. i either check/fold or bet out on the turn depending on my read. calling seems out of the question. The river bet looks pretty defensive and against a min raise you were righ to throw it...

Re: Did I get enough out of this AA?

dont know why you would check the turn. he reraised before the flop.. unlikely he holds an eight or flopped a set and has now filled up. i dont think u have much to fear when the board pairs on the...

Re: Playing Against a Calling Station

k but what if you are heads up against this type of player and you cant wait for strong hands to value bet down to the river. Its going to be a difficult heads up match against a calling station if...

Playing Against a Calling Station

Suppose you are playing a STT and the player on your right is a calling station. Everytime it is folded around to him he limps in and every time players limp in front of him or there is a small...

Re: AK: Anyone Fold Here With Top Two Pair?

i dont think i lay that down. it would take an amazing read to let that one go. i mean sure he did raise utg which represents a hand as big as KK or AA, but unless uve seen him show some hands utg...

Re: TT from BB-----3 Cold for me

i might raise to find out exactly where i was. if he reraises then u can lay it down and if he just calls u can be somewhat sure that you have the best hand. calling isnt a terrible play either.

Re: Signs of Limpers with KK/AA ?

in my opinion one of two things could be going on here.
1). obviously you have to fear that the early position limper could be playing aces or kings...this is not at all an uncommon way to play...

Re: Flopped a set, bet into preflop raiser?

i think your action depends on what you put the other players on and what type of players they are. C/R a loose player for sure. And if you think someone is holding AK that would be another good...

Re: playing against a minimum raise

i would recommend a reraise just to see where you are and to be able to narrow down his range of hands. I wouldnt reraise will all of the hands i would open with...i would narrow it down to 77-AA AQ...

Re: UTG small stack...What is the play here?

yea thats what i would do. You dont have very many chips left and any raise other than an all in is too small and might attract some unwanted people with weak overcards. Chances are even if you get...

Re: what to do when big losses are affecting your game

i think you should just try to forget about the past bad sessions and just stick with the 2/4. If you can beat the game then you wont be down for long. Just wait for the sample space to catch up...

Re: How important is Probabillity? (In Poker)

it is important in nl to know your chances of making your hand on the turn or the river so that you can make the correct call when taking the pot odds into consideration

Re: I\'m a bit new to SnGs- Need advice

i might try a stop and go instead of just a push preflop. You maximize your chances of winning the hand by raising about half your stack preflop and then pushing in the rest no matter what hits on...
