Re: Low Content

I looked up myself and several other players from the site I play, and their profiles were fairly accurate. I know that party poker is trying to prohibit the use of this, but other sites have yet to...

I for one have learned to realize when I'm not playing my best and to just quit for the day. I've also learned that there's no shame in moving down a limit (or two). But really it...

Re: How old are yoU!

You just have so much free time. 12 hours per semester is two classes a day (only about 2-3 hours of your day). I'm not advocating sacrificing your education for poker, but I could have played 50...

Re: How old are yoU!

I'm 25 and started playing a year ago. I play 1/2 NL and have won about 14K. I would give anything to be 20 and back in college. You should have the entire damn day to play and study poker. ...

Re: Simple KK hand

Fold and wait for a better spot. If villain is decent, he should give you credit for re-raising out of the big blind. I can't see a pre-flop push from villain here w/ QQ or worse. He's probably...

Re: Another KK situation

Call. You will get maximum value out of hands that you beat (AK/QQ/JJ). If you re-raise these hands may fold, and AA will take a big portion of your stack.

With no experience in 6-max games you should move down in limit, not up. Play the NL100 game until you feel comfortable. The shorter game has a higher varience than the full game. You...

Adjusting to 6 Max....a question for experienced 6 max players

I've been playing full ring 200 NL for 6 months now, and Pacific Poker has just added 400 NL and 600 NL full ring and 6 max tables.

For some reason, the 10 max 400 NL tables are not often full. I...

Re: How much do you value bet this river?

I don't see a hand here that will call your river bet unless you are beat.

Unless you think villain played A2, A3 or A4 this way, then you should check behind.

Re: Flopped boat w/ 3 limpers....How do you extract maximum value?

I'd probably lead out and bet the flop. The only way you're going to win a large pot here is if someone else also has an eight, and if you play it aggressively you might be able to stack...

There's roughly $80 dollars in this pot on an extraoordinarily draw heavy board. You call $25?

Adjusting to 6 Max

My site, Pacific Poker, recently added NL400 and NL600. I'm adequately bankrolled for NL400 ($8000), and I've been wanting to move up in limits.

The problem is that for some reason the full...

Re: fold AK to a big preflop raise

Call, see a flop and go from there. You have position on him. At NL100 this could be anything from 99-AA and AJs-AQs. Unless this is an ultra-tight player, this is an insta-call.

Eliminate AQo AJs AJo KQs from early position.

Don't call raises w/ these hands. You can raise these hands when folded to you in late position, or when there is only one limper (you have...

Re: Ultimate Bet SSNL - Weak passive defined?

I quit playing UB for the very reason. You will have to be raising frequently w/ lots of hands in mid/late position to get your good hands paid off. That site at small stakes is way to weak tight. ...

Re: KK facing check-re-raise

5 players saw the flop.....you're most likely beat. Fold and find a better spot. I know it sucks, but here you have to dump KK.
