Re: Presto out of position

I would fold preflop here. I think this is a pretty bad time to be playing this type of hand. The table is tight, so you aren't getting big implied odds if you do flop a set. You're likely to be...

Re: TT, rate my play.

I definately raise this preflop. However, since you didn't, I think you can make a good argument for the flop call. This hand is pretty similar to the chapter in SSHE about waiting for the turn to...

Re: can I sleep well tonight?

I would raise the flop, and try to knock out everyone else. I think calling here is the worst, because people will call one bet with a single K or A in this large pot. If we get cold callers on the...

Re: pocket nines

I usually just call 99 utg. B/c the river.

As a side note, how come the posts aren't in chronological order anymore? something i can change in preferences?

Re: Draws Galore

I like your line. I would just call the river. After your turn check, he probably puts you on AK, AQ, or KQs (maybe TT also), so for him the ace is a pretty scary card to be bluffing at. I think...

Re: Raised family pot, JJ

Interesting hand... I like your line. With 4 opponents putting in 4 bets on that flop, it's hard to imagine someone didn't turn a flush or trips. I think the free card is good here, b/c you have 4...

Re: Check behind on the turn?

I think it is close between betting and checking, but I would probalby just go ahead and bet. Even if you get check-raised, you probably have 14 or so outs, and you'd hate to give him a free card if...

Re: Value Cap this flop?

I would cap here. Looks like you are behind to a better kicker or 2-pair, but you have at least 9 outs to the nut flush, plus you can probably count 3's as 1.5 more outs. I think you have enough...

Re: AQs, 10-20, I\'m told I suck a whole bunch

Nope, looks pretty straight forward to me. I dont think you can fold the flop getting 19:1 and closing the action. The turn is even easier, closing the action getting 12:1 with 4 outs to the nut...

Re: HU blinds against LAG IP

I think you played this hand ok. I might have raised the flop, then called down if he 3-bet. I would definately call the river in your line. A player who will bet bottom/mid pair into 5 or 6 could...

Re: Stuck with overcards - Boring hand

Definately fold the river. The only thing you can beat is a busted flush draw making a pure bluff.

Re: You may not like this one!

I think you bet the turn. It's unlikely villain has AJ or higher given that he didn't raise preflop. If he has another ace, you will split, and since you still will make the flush ~20% of the time...

Re: odds of opponent holding pocket Aces given you holdpocket Kings

Probability of one particular opponent having AA is 6/50c2 = .00489796
Probability of him not having AA is .9951
Probability of no one having AA is .9951^5 = .9757
Probability of one (or two)...

43o, how do you play this turn?

Party Poker 2.00/4.00 Hold'em (10 handed) link (http://www.darksun.lunarpages.com/poker/)

Re: TP against LRR

I would definately raise here. I think you have the best hand a good percentage of the time, so the bet has some value, plus you wouldn't mind folding out the BB. I wouldn't put much stock in...

Re: 65s from button

I agree with you all that this is a poor spot to steal, definately something I will work on. I went back and reviewed the hand, and the flop did have 1 spade, making this call that much easier. In...

65s from button

BB is a somewhat loose/aggressive ~25/10. He has had a rough stretch of luck, taking a bad beat on the previous hand, and has been bitching out the table for a while.

Hero is on the button with...

Re: I seem to Lose to same TYPE player ! HELP

I am not surprised you saw this result. You should expect to see your largest variance against these loose players. After only 8k hands, there will naturally be some loose players who got lucky a...

Re: A6s with pair & flush draw on flop

First question: I would bet the flop hoping the pfr raises. You maybe have the best hand now, but it is very vulnerable. I think you gain more EV if you can knock out the two limpers (who might...

Re: Does this move have + EV? or am I spewing?

I would fold the turn. You have at most 5 outs, but I would count only 4 (discount for flush and possible A7/AT). You are getting 9.5:1, but with 3 players to act behind you, including the button...

Re: an uninteresting hand

Hmmm, this is so read dependant. I dont have it in front of me but I think the rule from HPFAP was bet the river if you will win 55% of the the time you are called. Likely hands the average player...

Low content - when is a game no longer small stakes?

This isn't a complaint or anything, but I've noticed lately higher stakes hands being posted here in the small stakes forum. I was just wondering what you all considered to be the biggest game to...
