Re: Odds question...

it doesn't really make a difference whether the cards are in someone else's hand or not. what is the difference between some of the outs being in someone else's hand and some of the outs being at the...

Re: Friend Destroying $11s, should he move up?

is a 52% ITM really possible at the $11s?

how long is your average SNG?

i'm using aleo's spreadsheet to keep track of my results, but i don't time my SNGs, so i'm not really sure what to put in the duration field to give a decent approximation of my $/hr. i'm looking for...

is pokerprophecy worth it?

i know pokerprophecy is pretty unreliable, since the stats it gives you are incomplete, to say the least. but i figure it must give you a little bit of an edge. is it worth the money?

Re: Tournement books comparison

harrington on hold'em volume 2 is coming out any day now. that book would probably be better than volume 1 for you, because volume 2 is about later in the tournament.

Re: Looks obvious, but ICM says not?

he's going to fold most of the time, especially if his range is really that tight. when he does call, you're only a 60-40 favorite.

Re: First 123 Tournies (Several Questions)

your higher ITM just means that you make it to the final 4 more often than lehighguy does.

Re: Number of buy-ins when playing SnG’s

this is kind of nitpicky, but 30 buy-ins at the $11s is actually $330.

Re: how to multitable with small monitor?

yeah, before moving to party, i was playing on UB, then pokerchamps. both places allow you to multitable without a huge screen. that's why i was wondering how i should go about it on party.

how to multitable with small monitor?

hi guys. i've just moved to party. ideally, i'd like to be 4-tabling right now. my screen resolution is 1152x864. i have a 17" monitor. i'm not interested in buying a bigger monitor right now. any...

Re: pokerchamps

yeah, it's not the rakeback that's attracting me to pokerchamps now. i'd be playing on party now if party had $5.50 SNGs or if i had the bankroll to play the $11s yet.

pokerchamps

the problem with pokerchamps is the lack of players. i'm playing there right now, playing $5.50's while i work up enough money for the $11 party games. it's not too hard to find $1.10 and $5.50 games...

thinking of moving from UB to party for SNGs

i've been playing the low buy-in UB SNGs for about a month now. playing the $1.10 tables, then moving up to the $5.50 tables, i increased my bankroll from $30 to about $300. i've been hearing a lot...

Re: Don\'t play $5 SnG @ UB on weekends?

hmm, i'm playing a couple SNGs right now and i'm seeing some crazy stuff. the board is Kd Ad 8h Qd and two people go all-in. one has A5o and the other has 66. unbelievable.

so maybe you're right...

Re: Don\'t play $5 SnG @ UB on weekends?

yeah. i was thinking that maybe, the lower ROI from turbos could be counterbalanced by the shorter game times, resulting in a higher hourly rate overall. but no, as far as i can tell after playing a...

Re: Don\'t play $5 SnG @ UB on weekends?

by the way, have you tried the new turbos? i played a bunch of them last night, and i don't like them at all. the luck factor is unbelievable.

Re: Don\'t play $5 SnG @ UB on weekends?

i play the UB $5.50's as well, and i don't notice too much of a difference on weekends. anyway, is it really a bad thing if the play gets softer?

Re: UB SNG format change

yeah, what's up with that? if they're gonna cut the ultimatepoints they give out, they should let those points go towards clearing bonus dollars.

ultimatebet SNG change

i just got into a $5.50 SNG on ultimatebet, and hmm, looks like they've upped the starting stack from 1000 to 1500 and changed the starting blinds from 5/10 to 10/20.

sorry if someone already...
