Re: How much does size of the field matter?

I think the size of the field matters more in the payout vs getting in the money since most torneys pay top couple of spots most of the pool. So you have a higher chance to win less money in a...

Re: Calling All-In with 97s (2:1 odds)

I think large button range actually hurt OPs position. Now he could end up in the situation where he is dominated by something like K9 or A7. But I think I still call. The midweek bay 101 tourneys...

Re: Gigabet hand in WPT event.

Am I missing something but why everyone automatically excluding JJ and TT from possible Harringtons holdings just because he didn't reraise preflop?

Re: Final Table PS$10+1, Push or Fold?

Considering how flat it is from 5th to 3rd I'd push.

Re: bay 101 open?

Typical spread limit tourneys have 40x max bet (some san jose regulation) plays like a NL tourney considering the fast structure.

I think their website has the structures for all the tourneys,...

bay 101 open?

I registered for limit/spread limit shootout in Bay 101. Anyone played those before so I know what to expect. Should I practice some limit tourneys or first levels just play like a cash game? 1 to...

Re: Final Table PS$10+1, Push or Fold?

What's the payouts, there are couple of more short stacks there? Does finishing 3rd vs 5th makes a difference or you really want to win? Do you think you would get called by Ax,KQo,KJs here or only...

Re: I think I go for steals too often with a deep stack

I was replying to LethalRose comment.

As far as OP question you steal when you can if you can get away with it. It all depends on what the table lets you do. I've played at tables where I've...

Re: I think I go for steals too often with a deep stack

Ok I was thinking 3-4x BB bet to steal but lets say 3x. If it's a normal reraise not some minraise stuff you get reraised to 8 to 10x. So how much would you reraise here to make reraiser fold and not...

Re: I think I go for steals too often with a deep stack

If you only have 40xBB if you are restealing you probably moving in or at least pot comiting yourself. So you want to have a hand that won't be dominated in case where you do get called.

Re: what to do against a massive overbet, paradise 200$ tourney

that's probably the reason I am posting this since I don't think my fold was correct and I was just sitting to comfy with my 200xBB not willing to jeopardise my whole stack

I should have taken...

Re: what to do against a massive overbet, paradise 200$ tourney

besides a typo on his part which I didn't consider at the time my thoughts were that he flopped a set and didn't want to see one more card to a straight out there

we both have 200x BB which is a...

Re: what to do against a massive overbet, paradise 200$ tourney

any raise I am playing for all my chips or giving him correct odds if he does have an overpair

do I move in then since if he does have an overpair he has 5 outs right now and I am not sure I...

what to do against a massive overbet, paradise 200$ tourney

Last night playing in 200$ Masters on Paradise ... nice tourney 2500 to start, 30 min blinds, some overlay, so nice and slow ... lots of bad play since a lot of people qualify through satelites and...

Re: Final table bubble, two close push or fold situations

I don't think he would want a call with JJ-99 also where OP is dominated or AQ,AJs,KQs type of hands.

Re: Is it ever correct to fold AA preflop in a NL tournament?

I don't think you are even guaranteed the 800$. Based on stack size and the fact the so many people managed to go all-in. I would guess the blinds are, at the lowest, 1K/2K probably higher. So it's...

Re: Is it ever correct to fold AA preflop in a NL tournament?

I disagree since chip leader is involved then there would be a decent side pot and if he does get sucked out by one of the smaller stacks he still gets a decent size side pot to break almost even.

Re: TT Trouble Hand

How many places pay out? How many chips does the 3rd player have?

If you are already in the money or the other person has a large stack I would push if not preflop then on the flop for sure.

Re: Was this add-on neccessary?

OK just open a 3$ rebuy sat and open tourney information ... it says right that you can not rebuy if you have more then 20000

Re: Was this add-on neccessary?

it definitely did happen to me and I was trying to add on. Not sure why but for some reason it seemed wrong to pass up a 2000 in chips for only 3$.

It was a few month ago I don't play many of...

Re: Was this add-on neccessary?

I don't think they let you add-on if you have more then 20K in chips. At least in 3$ rebuy satellites. So maybe they have that 10% thing implemented in the software, but it looks like the number...

Re: Heads up against an inferior opponent

Does your opponent think he is inferior? What is his style? Is he too tight or too loose?

Re: AJ against a loosie

Interesting you said he is very loose but then don't belive he would play a deuce or a five. In low limit games A5 or A2 suited would cold call two bets in a hearbeat. Raising UTG with AJo seems a...
