Re: What\'s your favorite (variation or made up) home game?

Thanks to everyone for all the great ideas. I'm really looking forward to trying these out and throwing a little excitement back into our stale home game.

Much appreciated.

Re: What\'s your favorite (variation or made up) home game?

Thanks for the additional suggestions.

Missle, that Mariah game with the escalating pots sounds great- I'll definitely play this next weekend. Haven't heard of Greek or Good/Bad, but I'll...

Re: What\'s your favorite (variation or made up) home game?

Thanks a lot for the suggestions. Omaha Chicago sounds good, although in general this crowd has to really spice up games like Hold'em and Omaha and 7 stud- things like "your lowest hole card is wild...

What\'s your favorite (variation or made up) home game?

I play with friends who don't like traditional games so we end up playing Baseball and Anaconda etc. over and over. It's incredibly boring when every other card is wild and every hand ends up with 5...

Re: california cardroom ?

Cache Creek has both, using the random card systems described above. It definitely changes the feel of the game for the worse, imho.

Re: Can anyone check my stats on prophecy?

Shanemex,

I see that the results you pulled were for ignoreland (lower case i) rather than Ignoreland. Thanks anyway.

Re: Can anyone check my stats on prophecy?

Shanemex,

Thanks for the reply. While I play pretty bad, I don't think I play THAT bad. Those numbers seem off. But I appreciate it.

Re: Can anyone check my stats on prophecy?

Yes, I probably should buy the software. Just been moving around a lot lately so I was hoping someone might post my stats.

Can anyone check my stats on prophecy?

I'd really appreciate it. I've used up my free samples. My screen name is Ignoreland on Party.

Thanks very much.

Re: Can someone look up my stats?

Much appreciated, bweiser. This small sample greatly misrepresents my "success" at Party.

Re: Can someone look up my stats?

Thanks very much, bweiser and irieguy. Since I've played many more tournaments than shown here, does this mean that some of them are no longer accessible because they're too old or something?

On...

Can someone look up my stats?

I don't have any of the tracking software, and was wondering if someone would be kind enough to look up and post my stats. You should get a good laugh, because I believe they're pretty bad, but I'd...

Re: Dropped card decision

Thanks for the reply, Andy. I also think the likelihood of someone trying to pulling a fast one and getting away with it were minimal. It was interesting, though, how some of the players were...

Re: Dropped card decision

Also: The floorman asked Player 1 if he wanted to call the raise. He called it. Player 2 did have the best hand.

Dropped card decision

Just wondering how others would view this decision. It occurred around 3:30 am at a 6-12 table.

2 players in as the river card is dealt. First player bets. 2nd player lifts up his cards to eye...

Re: Poker Site with Macintosh support

I like Pokerroom also, but after playing Party it seemed pretty limited as far as # of games. The low-limit games felt much tighter to me, and I got tired of playing against the same people. So...

Re: Alternative Strategy

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I should have prefaced this by saying that I personally don't play this way, although I am trying to steal more (decent success) and I have been experimenting with...

Alternative Strategy

First off, let me say that I've only played about 300 sngs total on Stars and Party and only up to 30+3. I'm up a grand total of $322, and this figure is inflated from an incredibly lucky 2nd place...

Re: Party Software for Mac?

For the price of VirtualPC, you could probably buy a used PC. I'm a Mac guy too, but I got a Dell P4 1.6 with a 21" Sony monitor for $140 off of Craigslist. Much better than going with Ebay, because...

Re: How to win at $10+1 NLHE Partypoker sngs (long)

NotMitch,

I usually play it like you describe. But when the board comes 7-8-9, or J-J-8, going all in seems like a losing wager. Maybe my bad run is affecting my thinking here. But I've seen so...

Re: How to win at $10+1 NLHE Partypoker sngs (long)

So, in the 1-3 rounds, play only the following in positions 1-7:

22-JJ (limp in, cold call min raises only and maybe not with small pairs 22-66)
QQ-AA (raise 3xBB, raise 4-5xBB if there are...

Re: Stay Away from the Ramada Inn

Hey NJchick,

I hope this Ramada Inn is different from the other one mentioned in the link above. But your advice is well-taken. Thanks.

Re: Need tax advice

Are you talking about large wins, such as tournament wins or jackpots, where the casino issues you a 1099, or just your total positive balance for the year? In other words, are you just being honest...
