Re: Amusing reaction to 79s push ( low content )

This story reminds me of a hand I had with 75s. It was quite early in a live tournament. I had this hand on the button in an unraised pot with about 3 already in. Small blind called and BB...

Re: How to really study the game.

This is really for newer players -

I started playing about a year ago and until very recently only played at the B & M. Right at the beginning someone told me not to let anyone know I was new to...

Re: I would like to see what everyone\'s notes on me say

I'm not sure I'd want to know. I've already been called a f*cking moron twice to my face (well, in chat anyway) so imagine what the rest says. I guess it would be useful to know. The one thing I'd...

Re: how do i manage a large stack in $3 stars tourney

This is very useful info. Thanks for posting it. (I want to be a bully when I grow up - pokerwise that is!)

Re: your vote on 89s

So I'm in a pretty boring cash game and reading your post. Within a minute of answering the poll I get 98s UTG. I don't usually play it there but thought this must be fate. Hit a straight. Win a...

Re: Joined a Limit sng, what do I do!?!?!

I made this mistake once with Omaha. Didn't realize until I got 4 cards. Came second but I know it was a fluke. I've since read up on Omaha and am pretty sure I made every mistake in the book. ...

Re: Email TSN and tell them to put the 2005 WSOP back on TV!!!!

We also went both Friday and Saturday morning to try for a spot in the draw but didn't make it. We also had entered lots of draws they held before the tournament. Nothing worked. And that was my...

Re: Email TSN and tell them to put the 2005 WSOP back on TV!!!!

I and many of my poker playing friends tried to get into this tournament but couldn't get in. During the first round I spoke to a young girl who was on a break and about to return to the game. I...

Re: First Trip to a Casino... Advice?

If you're a decent player, I don't think 2-4 is a good idea. The rake is too high and the pots too small. I'd play at least 4-8 or 3-6 if that's all they have. You'll still see some pretty weird...

Re: $16: push ANY two from the SB?

Why wouldn't you wait until the next hand to make a move? You've got to get something better than 62 and you'd have better position.

Re: Super Tuesday tournament report

Thanks for posting your hands. I read the whole post and found it very helpful, especially since you gave your reasons for your decisions. Good learning tool. Nice win too. Congrats.

Re: How Much Do You Guys Make at the $55 SnG\'s?

"threads like this make me never want to post anything useful on 2+2."

To me just about everything on 2+2 is useful. I learn from everyone who posts even if I don't agree with them or understand...

Re: $27 JJ hand again

Actually I got this a bit wrong. MP1 did raise PF but it was the BB who bet small on the flop (with his 2 pr as it turns out). MP1 raised which I think supports him having a big PP so I wouldn't...

Re: $27 JJ hand again

Why don't you put MP1 on a big PP? He raised 4xBB PF. Couldn't he be trapping with the small bet on the flop?

Re: How Much Do You Guys Make at the $55 SnG\'s?

Can you describe how you play so many tables at once? I can play 2 cash games but even then I'm missing things. I don't have alot of experience since most of my play has been live but I can't...

Re: AK vs. all-in + likely isolation

I hate AK. I raise like most people say I should, miss the flop and then what ????? I understand the value of raising having knocked someone out of a tournament recently with my 75s in an unraised...

Re: 109 - aces, queens, AK, or garbage?

I just had something similar happen only I had KQ suited. It was only a $1 tournament (2nd hand I think) so I couldn't resist. Villian had A10 offsuit and when I won the hand with a pair of Q's he...

Re: Fear of multitabling

I've started playing 2 tables at .05/.10 on UB. I started doing it on the free table first to get the timing right. Unless you're playing way too many flops, it's pretty easy and if I get into a...

Re: $5 - AQo misses flop

Thanks for the feedback. I checked the flop, MP2 bet 100 and everyone folded including me.

Would you guys mind having a look at the other hand I posted with the pocket 8's? Thanks for your help....

Re: What\'s your game plan to qualify for Atlantis?

Nice to see someone from Vancouver on this site. I've yet to meet anyone at RR that knows about it. Of course I do play at the lower limits and probably the 3-6 nl and 30/60 guys know about it. I...

I only started playing on line a couple of months ago (only played live until August) so I'm still pretty new at this, however, I did start keeping notes right away because I read it was a good idea....
