Re: How much action? With context

I don't think the fact that you owned his ass in the prior hand has much bearing on this hand where you have a really sick hand. I suppose you posted this cause he had AA or AK? I have found myself...

Re: A less clear hand to comment on for the esteemed panel

Depending on the table, I fold AJo UTG. I just hate playing this hand oop. I could never imagine just calling with it though. That's definitely a bad play. I don't think it's a "raise every time"...

Program that hides your chip count

A while back I read about a program that puts a black bar over your chip count while playing online. Does anyone have a link to this? Did a search, but to no avail. Thanks.

Re: AK no good?

Looks like a set to me or a big flush draw on the flop. I might bet/fold the turn. If he has the A /images/graemlins/spade.gif he might semi-bluff raise your turn bet and you might end up folding the...

Re: Man my starting hands have been all over the place

I haven't been playing 6-max long either, but AJ and KQ are often folds (!) for me these days as I've become a bit selective. If I 3-bet, it's usually with a read. But reading this thread I think I...

Re: Another riverdecision

I like the check-fold, cause it looks like you are beat the whole way. But I wouldn't play it this way. Villain's flop bet may mean a bigger PP than yours or a flush draw. The A...

Re: Do I have to bet this turn?

If I was sitting in your place, I would bet it, but wouldn't feel all that positive about it. If BB has QT, you are toast. If BB has A /images/graemlins/heart.gifX /images/graemlins/heart.gif, you...

Re: 88 flop decision

Here I 3-bet pf to get the BB outta there. Just calling doesn't force BB into making a mistake. He's getting great odds and has position on you when you call. I don't like "mixing it up" with 88 in...

Re: Could I be in an uglier spot with an overpair?

now I would check it for fear of a check-raise. If AA/QQ/JJ/TT are out there, they are afraid you have AK or a higher set but are calling in hopes of filling up or holding up at showdown (when you...

Re: Turn

I like a checkraise better on the turn. Since BB is aggro, a nice checkraise should settle him down a bit. I like to make strong plays like this to send a message to the aggro player not to be...

Re: Deciding whether to call down a turn reraise...

Not a big fan of the flop play here. I would lead out myself to gauge villains reaction and get a bet in with a strong hand. But if I misclicked and checked, and villain bets, well then I would throw...

I think the way you played it is fine.

Re: buy in for loose games vs tight games.

I'll sit down with 30BB's in this kind of game, sometimes more. I hate getting short stacked wondering if and when I'm going to want to buy more chips. Anyway, it's not really important in a limit...

Re: Could I be in an uglier spot with an overpair?

I would just call here and hope to hit a /images/graemlins/club.gif on the turn for your backdoor flush. AK/AA is such a distinct possibility that you don't want to put in too many bets with this...

Re: Tough river decision

I would even check the river here, seeing as you didn't bet/fold the turn (one way to play it). But I like the check behind, cause you could hit a K on the river and get lucky. If he has the K or 8...

Re: I screwed this one up.. BB Defense with 88

I like the 3-bet pf play, because if UTG has a really strong hand, like QQ+, he will cap it. With AKo he might cap it and with worse he will call. The hand plays a bit differently then because you...

Re: It just keeps getting worse and worse...

I like the river fold. You have been representing a K the whole time (and potentially a FH once the board pairs on the turn). Even if SB is aggressive, he would check if he had Ax, because the Ace...

Re: KJs, Turn donk bet on a scare card...

I would call down because he could be doing this with a flush draw with the K /images/graemlins/heart.gif or Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif, trying to scare you into folding in case you don't have the...

Re: Two live hands

Hand 1 I cap it preflop and raise the flop. Folding is too weak. Hand 2 I don't know. I would have 3 bet it preflop and then bet out on the flop. Hand plays differently once you 3-bet preflop.

Re: Loose river call?

I would call it since villain may have put you on a flush draw and didn't want his pair checked through. Or he's got a 4. Call and hope to take it down.

Re: AJo in the CO

I like the turn raise idea here, but am I the only one that's worried that BB might have a better hand than ours? For this play to work, we have to not only have button holding AK, but for him to...

Re: Boring.. Paired board gaybet out of the blind HU

Sometimes I raise this flop, other times I just call the flop and fold UI on the turn. The Donkbet usually means a small pp or a 7. Sometimes it's a 6 trying to be clever.

If I'm raising the...

Re: safe fold here?

I don't think I could fold that one, but it does look like a set. It could be other things that you are ahead of like T9 /images/graemlins/club.gif or somesuch hand. With all that money in the pot I...

Re: Something different - KK

Yeah I don't think a situation like this HU with a monotone A - high flop is something that is helped all that much with a read. If it was a very loose aggressive player you may want to go to war...

Re: T6s in the BB

fold preflop, but since you didn't, fold the flop, but since you didn't, check/fold the turn.
