2-7 in vegas / cheap blackjack?

I'm going to vegas on the 20th, turning 21 the 21st and staying until the 23rd. I'll be playing mostly low-limit hold 'em (1-2 (possibly nl, depends on my run at limit), 1-3 excalibur, 2-4 at...

Re: It should be an interesting final table for TV

What made Doyle change his mind to play AQ nowadays? I've seen him play it a lot lately, but it used to be a hand he would never play.

Sexton\'s WPT Commentary

Obviously, the world poker tour is not meant to be pure poker - it shows exciting hands with pocket pairs and all-in action, and mostly skips out on the true, solid action one would see at a final...

An early FTP freeroll move

I don't have the hand history, so you'll have to bear with general details.

50 FTP points freeroll, 265 players, 196ish left, I have JTo in MP. EP with equalish stack to me (he had about 1700 to...

Full Tilt Avatars

This probably doesn't belong in this forum, but I'm not sure where I should post it. Anyhow, I was glancing at the FTP store and saw that custom avatars run 1,000,000 points. Are there any 2+2ers...

Re: A chat with Bernard Lee.

I, too, couldn't stand him flipping the fudge out everytime he survived an all-in or won one. Also KISS KISS KISS I LOVE YOU PICTURES KISS KISS - dear God, get over the spectacle aspect of it all...

Re: Steve Danemann...

To be fair, it was 77 players who ponied up 1000 each; hopefully people playing for that type of buy-in aren't complete home game players.

Pure math poker - is it possible?

I've been thinking about something lately, and I know this sounds like a long stretch, but could there possibly be a mathematical theorem one could devise to where each card is assigned a numerical...

Re: AJo In SB

fold, pot isn't nearly big enough to justify calling off half of your stack.

Re: Turn call with a low pair + gutshot

Well, you can't count any of your heart outs, as they potentially complete a flush, although I don't put villain on a flush draw but it's certainly possible the turn raise was simply trying to drive...

Re: Stars $500k hand w/TP against another big stack

I call; you played AT obviously so you could hit that Ace. You've hit your ace and now you're considering folding to an all-in? I make the call and hope I'm against a weaker ace or someone with a...

Re: Turn call with a low pair + gutshot

You have roughly 18% of hitting one of your outs on the river, and like you said not all of your outs may be clean. Your image is one of stealing, as you stated before. I think there's a good...

Re: Foxwoods WPF 500NL 77 vs aggressive chip leader

I like a raise to 1400 here, as it almost looks like it's inviting a call and to a more sophisticated player will give off the impression that you've got a stronger hand than you do. It also makes...

Re: Turn call with a low pair + gutshot

I think with the simple call on the flop and the "safe" card for him on the turn, he's in there on a pair of ace's and wants you to look him up. I don't think you have much here; I'd muck.

Re: Would you risk it all late in a major tournament with 88? TJ just

If he knew it was a race (which he must have, that or he thought gus was just overplaying a lower pocket), he might have done it just to have a monster chip stack and risk taking down Gus. I've done...

Re: PokerStars funnybusiness in EPT

I think the situation is that he feels like he's wasting his FPP's on a tournament where stars is putting one of their name players in?

I'm confused as well.

Re: Hey guys, did I play this hand right?

I'm tired of them showing "hands in progress" when they get back from the break and some poor schmoe who probably organized a party to watch his appearance on tv is eliminated

Re: Trip report - Hamilton Jai Alai & Poker - Jasper, Fl

It wasn't really busy, but there were 5 or 6 tables that were full...

I went with my gut instinct and moved in on the turn. He thought about it then called the 300 chip raise and showed...J6hearts with no pair and no draw. River was a jack and I went out.
