Re: Two hands meet flop resistance, QKo, AKo, Top pairs

hand 1 I probably push, if he's as loose as you say, he'll call with lots of hands you beat.

Hand 2 is tougher..his play suggests AK or AQ..I think both check-calling and bet-folding are decent...

Re: Weak-tight two pair?

If you aren't going to be aggressive with top two on a seperated, rainbow board, you should probably be folding AQ preflop..are you trying to flop a full house before committing chips? If you must,...

Re: Huh? Limp Reraise, from the third limper

It's a weird play, yes, but in my experience, it's almost always AA/KK unless the villain is a LAG. Some fish feel the need to slowplay aces so much that they don't want to 'scare anyone away' by...

Re: semi bluff and value bets

Bet the river...everyone is not trying to trap you every hand, he probably has what his line suggests...1 or 2 pairs thats wants a showdown...at the very least you should be blocking this river if...

Re: KK HU overpair, lots of action NL100 (6max)

Fold. Since there was no PFR, SB could have any two. The way you played this hand, he has to seriously think you might of hit a set, but he doesnt care. I'd expect to see 75 for the straight here,...

Re: missed the draw but hit 2pair instead

I'd definetly check call this on the river, UTG has been saying he's better than one pair the whole hand, but he could have a badly played AA or KK or A9, so I think a check-call is in order.

Re: Going broke here? 333.

haha..folding is soooo bad. Even if he showed you his Q9, you have plenty of odds, current + implied to continue with this hand. I'd expect to be ahead here a bunch...even a tighty will play back...

Re: QQ UTG vs. good players

I'm raising to $60-$70 here. If he pushes, I'm folding..it sucks to fold with about 2/5 of our stack in here, but if he's solid/aggressive, I don't think he'll 3 bet us on a bluff or semi bluff when...

Re: ATs UTG flops top 2

I'm definetly getting my money in here,..if not on the flop, on a blank turn...sucks if you ran into 88 or TT...I think even the worst of players raise AA in the SB here.

Re: standard fold vs. LAG?

standard fold vs a tighty..yes...standard fold vs lag..not at all.

EDIT: If I'm the LAG, I'm putting you on nines or a missed AK or something like that after you played so weakly to my flop...

Re: LIVE 100NL pretty flop facing huge overbet

I call, we don't really have a lot of info on villain's range, so it's quite wide, we have him in pretty bad shape when he's behind, and we have outs when he's ahead, I'll gamble here...this is one...

Re: Overpair (QQ): Blind steal...

Pooshh...villain has shown no strength, and the seven is more likely to of helped you than to of hurt you. If he's called you this far with a J, he's calling the rest of it.

AQ missed flop, hit turn in multi way pot.

I'm sitting down in a .10/.25 game and post the blind from MP. Effective stacks are $50. Villain seems to be a decent sLAG. Table as a whole is very loose..we've already had a few 9 handed family...

Re: Overpair.. turn push re-raise... he has me covered?

I disagree, I'm folding here. Hero is not committed to this pot by any means yet and villain's line just reeks of strength. The fact that he's slightly loose makes it more likely in my opinion that...

Re: 22, river boat, best play

I think it's very likely villain has a naked ten here, there was no raise preflop so probably not an overpair and nothing else makes much sense to call you down with except for maybe QJ. If villain...

Re: My friend and I are having a disagreement, comments?

Looks pretty weak tight to me...especially when your friend knew he had the best hand and missed opportunities to bet for value. I think you said it when you said that your friend is playing not to...

meh...other than the original limp UTG, he didn't play the hand that badly, just got a little unlucky..just be happy he didnt have more money behind /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Stuck 100 BB to up 25 BB in the same day.

Maybe it did, maybe it didn't...I thought I started playing better, but I also hit more cards..it's easier to play better when hitting cards, but really did play have to make a difference to post it...

Re: Where do these people come from?

Raises in NL are generally described by the amount of the BB they are as far as I understand. A raise to $2 in a .50 BB game would be called a raise to 4xBB or a 4x BB raise, likewise a $5 opening...

Re: Where do these people come from?

I should probably mention that I raised to $14 on the turn..then he had $12 left after he called the raise. I think I left that part out in the original post.

Re: Where do these people come from?

Assuming you play well postflop and can get away from your AA when beat/outdrawn, dont you WANT people calling your raise with junk hands that might get them trapped for a large pot. I know I...

Where do these people come from?

$.25/$.50 No limit game with AA, I raise to $2 and get two callers.

Flop is Jxx with two clubs. A cold caller leads for $1. The other caller calls. I raise to $8. He calls, other caller folds....

Re: Could anyone get away from this hand?

Short answer: no
Long answer: noooooooooooooooooooooooo

Though, I'd be really suspicious after he 3-bets the river all in, I'd definetly call anyway.

Stuck 100 BB to up 25 BB in the same day.

Playing limit $2/$4, I started out the day getting bad beat in every way imaginable and was quickly down $300. This is where I usually tilt and lose even more and become a crazy lag, but I refocused...
