Re: copags curve...
I just picked up a set from 5Star. They are perfectly flat. Perhaps you got a bad set?

Re: Tourney Structure - is this reasonable?
I like this proposed structure a lot.
This is not really a home game. I believe that this is the first tourney these guys are trying to set up and that some of the profit will go to charity,...

Re: Tourney Structure - is this reasonable?
There are 48 seats.
You're right about my numbers, but I was only off by $40, so if I add it to the 4th prize I get.
Prize pool: 2000 + 1000 + 500 +140 +100 + 100 = 3840
Buy in 100 * 48 = 4800,...

Heard about this NLHE tourney that someone is trying to put
together, but the structure sounded a bit steep (in favor of the host) to me. Just looking for some opinions.
Buy in $100
48 players...

Short stacked - when to push
I'm down to about 3 BBs, 4 handed (bubble). The other 3 players have similar stacks(at least 30BB). I figure I have to pick hand and go for it before I get blinded to death. What would be a minimum...

Re: Iceland Air
My Wife and I made this exact trip some time ago (1995). Iceland Air was fine and we spent 3 days checking our Iceland before flying on to Luxembourg. Reasonable fares as I recall.

Buy-in terminology
What does the second dollar amount in a buy-in mean? For example, if the buy-in is defined as $14 + $2, what is the $2 about? Thanks.

Re: Where were you?
In the subway at Chambers St. when the first tower fell.
Later, in mid-town by the Empire State building thinking "I'd better get the hell out of here".

Re: Possible Cheating low stakes game!!!
It does sound a bit fishy.
I'm not too crazy about dealers who shuffle in their laps. Were the decks both the same color? Were there any other hands this guy dealt that caught your eye? One hand...

Books for new players
Can anyone recommend some good books for new players. I am talking about players who are brand new to the game and hardly know the hand rankings. Thanks.

Re: Need opinion on these mockups.
I would suggest to try making the font color the same as one of the colors on the chip. Either the spot color of tha main chip color would look nice.

Re: Am I missing anything?
Get some cut cards. At least one for each deck. Some of our players are terrible dealers and tend to show the bottom card. We tried using one of the jokers, but it would always get shuffled into the...
