PS 20-table, calling LP raise w 89s

My thought was to lead out if flop turned rags.
Is it crazy to call with this preflop when in small blind? I surely ainīt doing it all the time.
What about betsize on flop?

Compliments of...

Re: flopped trips - any escape from the donk?

I wrote "get away from losing your whole stack", as you kindly put in bold, that is not the same, is it?

And Thrillfactor, I took offense so please be a little more polite in youīre replies.

Re: flopped trips - any escape from the donk?

Why did you reraise preflop? 9s ainīt strong enough to minreraise pf.
If you try and keep the pot smaller by calling instead of reraising preflop, you will be able to get away from losing your...

Re: How to get Stars support for a tourney chop?

Just agree to a chop, then make sure u both sit out at the table and email support... Donīt forget to mention the tourney name and number. For me it took about 10 minutes before they showed up.

Personally I think the push by him is interesting; it really put me in...

Re: 55: another damn jj hand

What more hands would you put him on when he flatcalls your flopbet?
And after the turnbet?

Re: 55: another damn jj hand

I think the pf-bet is alright if you want to play aggressively early on.
On the flop the pot is 245, so your 150 bet should be ok to price out a flushdraw.
However, when he calls your flopbet I...

Re: Prima 10+1r&a/ bsb hand

Hi Rickyroodido,
I would not have called the riverbet. A 1400-bet just smells too much like heīs trying to milk you, especially after he called your turnbet.

Prima poker, are you playing on...

Re: $35 6-Handed Pokerstars blinds:75/150 Being Big Stack

I pushed, is that good or bad?
His relative stack should force him to fold with most hand here, right?
With what hands would you play the way Villain did PF?

Re: UTG pushing standards

I guess Iīm a tightass, but I prefer to have AQo to push UTG at this level. 225 just isnīt enough risk/reward for me to push w dominated hands having 900 left UTG.

Re: I\'m new to MTTs

You are in on this hand to the bitter end, so I would reraise him.
Villain should always bet this hand on the flop because of his stacksize, so his possible cardrange is quite wide.

Re: How do you play AK on the flop?

[ QUOTE ]
you don't have to continue on with your ace high

[/ QUOTE ]
You only have A high, thereīs three villains and itīs level 1. A push is not recommended.

Re: If someone could analyse my bubble play i\'d be eternally grateful.

Re: Party 22, BB-hand

I think the way you want the hand to be played just opens up for a bluff by villain on the river, which will force a fold. The T$50 is a K with a bad kicker, a medium pair, or a flush in my eyes; in...
