Re: Good spot for a river bluff here?

Well, I bet 1100 on the river, and he thought for about 15 seconds before calling with KQ, queen of spades. so he flopped the nuts and hit a queen high flush on the river. weird hand.

Good spot for a river bluff here?

Play at the table has been normal for this level so far. I'm Rob76803 on the button w/ AQ offsuit. I've had aces, AK twice and AQ twice in the last 15 hands and haven't shown down any of them, so my...

Re: Folding Kings preflop on the bubble

Obviously, you got called on the very next hand with something worse than 88, so the conditions were definitely not right. I think we're getting a little carried away here about what a genius move...

Re: AA on KQ8 flop

Play in the early stages of the 45k rebuy is notoriously bad. If you don't have a read on this guy, just push. He'll usually call with as little as a queen. ps: should've raised at least 500 with...

Re: Good power play or silly risk ?

The play here is a reraise of about 10K, though the push isn't that bad a play. The play should really depend more on your read of the player than anything else. The average player lays down middle...

Re: Value bet or push?

Re: Blocking Bet?

A blocking bet is a medium sized bet you might make on the river to prevent the opponent from bluffing you out of the hand.

bet missed flush?

Is checking the river after I missed the flush the right move? My read on the guy to this point was loose/aggressive, though I reconsidered after this hand.

Midway through an 80 person tourney I call J10 suited on button with one limper ahead of me at a fairly tight table. Both blinds limp, $800 in the pot. Flop is J 10 4, all spades. Small blind pushes...
