Re: 99 flops set, but scary board

How about some reads?

Reason I ask, is that if you put the button on a wide range of hands (since he is the button, and perhaps additional reads) I would re-raise pre-flop. Infact with 99 I will...

Re: Transitioning from NLHE to Limit HE

Betting when a scare card falls or on paired flops or other situations where you think no one has a piece of the board can often be a good bluff where it doesn't matter what you have since you hope...

Re: Comparison to Party 2/4

And don't forget the Bad Beat Jackpot!

This is a gold mine after it passes about 100K. You will get some of the most passive multiway pots.

2/4 is definitely not a big stretch from...

Re: Extremely common, frustrating situation with AQo

It's true that w/ "just" overcards you may not want to raise the flop for a free turn card...

but this is not a case of OCs only. You have 2 backdoor draws. A BD nut flush draw, and a BD wheel...

Have you thought about the fact that all y'all are ego driven and think everyone else is too?

Re: River 3 bet right?

Hand 1:

I think you're ahead often on the river, but are you ahead often enough to call a cap? I don't think so...

I would 3 bet the river vs. any villain except for BB. He could have any crazy...

How bad is this: 44 vs. pfr?

Is this the good, the bad, or the ugly?

Table w/ very bad players at BBJ. No spectacular reads. PFR is loose w/ his PFRs.

Re: Royal Flush:Best line to make da $$$?

Re: Out of Body Poker, extremely long and possibly ridiculous.

Nice post.

For me the biggest factor in being able to play hands w/o putting my ego into it is my bank roll.

I started w/ $10 no-deposit bonus. I hit an $8 downswing at $20 to bring me to $12...

Re: help with 109s...do I raise?

So if you know he has a spade, and you know he won't fold for a bet, why do you not raise the turn?

It's more reason to raise the turn. It's a value bet; you've likely got the best hand, you won't...

Re: Hand of the day....A terrible preflop call?

fewer limpers and you could make an argument that calling is a mistake, but I think this is a very nice pf call...

Re: Middle pair in middle position

Not seeing the river call by Button would make it harder, but the river call all but eliminates a busted flush draw, and points to a pair or other pocket pair.... now at 2/4 the pair could be a 2.......

Re: 4/8 Reverse Clarkmeistering

That's the problem I think.

You can get to show down by checking, it's free take it.

You are risking the ENTIRE pot for ONE more bet. AT 14BB this is not good.

If you fold against a c/r and...

Re: 4/8 Reverse Clarkmeistering

WOOPS misread the board dumb me....

Yeah you're not getting any small club flushes to fold. The A on the flop makes it look like you were betting top pair (which you were).

The chance you have...

So betting out the turn is standard right?

What I was thinking about is that when that A falls my fold equity goes way up, so so does the chance of some Ace hugger beating me....

Are there some...
