Re: Unabomber bust out hand: good semibluff or resteal?

he risked 2M chips for 400K. It was not a great play, but Antonius seems super aggresive, and it is a reraise with a lot of FE. An (incorrect) read on the raise could have made the difference, but I...

Don't analyze him to find his weaknesses. Justin is a great player and everyone knows that. Poker will be poker. Are you saying Phil Ivey or Daniel Negreanu would be a losing...

Re: Party blackjack

the reason you are losing is because you do not understand the mathematics of blackjack, which is actually a profitable game if approached appropriately:

Re: Hand vs Carlos Mortensen in Bellagio 3K

Does anyone else find it incredible that Carlos had a ten high flush? Shaniac bet into several people on a coordinated board on the flop, and then on the turn made a weak lead type bet when the board...

Re: Hand vs Carlos Mortensen in Bellagio 3K

What if it turns out that Carlos had a baby flush, and shoved vs the turn three bet after the board paired? How would it change you guys' perception of the hand then?

Re: Hand vs Carlos Mortensen in Bellagio 3K

what would you do if you were Carlos here and had a baby flush and was facing that turn three bet? We can agree a full boat and a big flush jams the pot right? What about a medium flush, like Q high?...

Re: FT of Party $35,000 G - What would you do with AJs?

Looks like an attempt to steal cheaply from the two shortstack blinds. Without any other read I'm pushing here with a whole lot less than AJs.

Re: Results

I saw this hand as it went down. Saw you, Rob Mizrachi and a friend of mine at the table, and railed it for a while.

You had me fooled! I had a feeling you would fire that flop with a pretty wide...

Re: yo cossio wtf?

I understand what Sirio is saying. I would almost never limp Aces there because I rarely open limp at all in that spot. If I open limped more frequently, I would mix in a much higher ratio of...

Re: yo cossio wtf?

this forum sucks

I think it is a "wtf" type hand. Limping AA from that position is pretty unorthodox (bad/). I rarely limp any hands from that position... if I did so frequently, I could...

Re: Johnny Bax plays live too

Having played endlessly with bax (and watched him a great deal) I think he has a seven also, but has a weak kicker. So, I think checking is in order.

edit- or maybe he has a decent kicker but is...

Theory question regarding raising ranges

this is a *pretty* simple question, but my friend is working on developing a mathematical model for certain situations, and input would be appreciated.

I'm in the BB w/ J4. Folded to an aggressive SB who completes. I check my option.

We both have 120k and the blinds are 600-1200.

Flop is JT3.

Re: Gigabet hand in WPT event.

Here's the thing about this hand. When Harrington raises the flop it could easily be either for value or to take control of the hand for pot control reasons. So when giga leads the turn...

Re: Festa al Lago....Gigabet is weak tight at heart.

I think Dan might check 33 in the big blind there.

Re: Festa al Lago....Gigabet is weak tight at heart.

hi Gigabet,

My problem with this is that it is a BB-SB confrontation. Even the tightest players muscle up there. Surely Dan Harrington knows he is up against a creative, aggresive opponent....

You're going to have to win some allins to win this, doesnt matter if it's early or late, if you know you're best, you get your money in.

Re: I have a flush draw! (Stars $300 hand)

very interesting hand. I would rarely try to pull this play off against a smart opponent. Only to mix it up because I would sometimes make that lead with a monster too. Overall, I don't really like...

Re: KK in SB nearing the bubble in Stars $10+1R+1AO

Well surely you would raise larger with a more vulnerable hand like AK/AQ or a medium pair right? It does seem like a potential tell, but I don't think that is as important as the fact that you are...

Re: Is this an easy fold?

this is a $58 satellite. You have 1500 chips. In 40 mins that will be half par. I would say screw it, if he has a fastplayed set good for him. But I like getting chips early in these stars events...

Re: KK in SB nearing the bubble in Stars $10+1R+1AO

I think your play post flop was fine. Preflop though, I don't like 3x raise from sb. KK wants action, but I wouldn't raise smaller then 4x after the limper.
