Re: Bellagio 5diamond Hand

[ QUOTE ]
Do you play this hand the same way verse Joe in a stars $150 tourney? Im just curious.

[/ QUOTE ]

This hand plays out much differently in an online tournament. We're nearly 300...

I like how you played it. There are so many things that can go wrong if you raise with the action in front of you that I hate building a big pot. If Joe picks a spot where 3 people have...

Look forward to seeing the results.

As I said in the original post, I folded. There is no way I can just call his raise. I will face a huge bet on the turn and will...

Why not raise PF a bit and try to get HU with the weak-loose player? If he re-pops it, you can get away from a likely AA-QQ. If not, you're playing deep stack poker, with position, against...

Bellagio 5diamond Hand

30K starting chips with 50-100 blinds.

I’m around 27K when UTG+1 limps for 100, UTG+2 is a super weak loose donk playing in his 3rd ever tournament (1st and 2nd being the satellites to get into...

Good stuff, as always. I especially liked the photo-shoot part.

Re: TR From the Bellagio $5K NLH

Yeah, the 1 seat was awful. He was the one to give the grinder a ton of chips when he some how got all of his chips, and he had a lot them, all in on a flop of 962 with A8 vs the grinder's set of...

Re: TR From the Bellagio $5K NLH

Nice report. I was at your table when you busted, the younger guy in the 6 seat. It hurt watching those beats, though after what had gone on at that table we all expected that J on the river. Good...

Re: LV sweat request - colson on tear

Thanks everyone. The final hand was as brutal as they come, but I was fortunate to get that far anyways. MTT poker sucks but of course I love it.

I almost didn't even play this tournament...

Re: Stars 500 hand

I agree, MLG. nice little rhyme there that should be used often.

Sounds like JV's been pounding him pretty hard, seems like a nice spot to take the pedal off the gas, too.

Re: Foxwoods Main event Report

I don't think the call with 55 is that bad. It's not even 10% of your stack and if you call and flop a set, you'll increase your stack by nearly 50%. Did you put Gazes on T7 that hand...

Re: hand from stars 500

btw, I really hate leading this turn unless you're planning on pushing when he raises, which isn't a horrible line. Players like this just don't check behind on the flop and give up to a half pot...

Re: hand from stars 500

I read it as a bluff. Either that or he flopped trips/fullhouse/quads. Checking behind the flop and raising the turn is not consistent with an overpair.

I really doubt he checks behind the...

That said, remember, we're talking about the one guy at the table for whom your theory is immediately mitigated. He was the guy who could easily have pocket sixes or ace-jack here.

I fold this preflop. The flat call looks like a monster to me.

I do actually like the 55 call, and I wonder if there are any circumstances in which you would put more $$ in without a set, ie with a tell, or some wierd bet by him.

Re: Yuck

I'd like to see the 150-300 level added to NL tournaments. The 1600 level is a great addition but the jump from 100-200 to 200-400 is still too much.

Nothing too...
