Collin - definitely true, and something most people forget. But one spends so much time at work, it behooves them to at least find something that they might really enjoy.

OP - unless UCS has improved since I've been there, they won't be of great assistance to you. They are primarily concerned with the recruiting process, which you've probably missed / don't care...
