Re: Bay 101 vs California Grand?

The blinds are 2/4/6 at the Grand in the 6/12 game. Otherwise I havent noticed much difference in the game. The tables are more cramped at the Grand also. I am also in PLeasanton, and the two...

2/4 - I missed, but I got a gutty

Villains are not exciting in this hand. Just standard loose players, I have no illusions as the whether or not I am behind, but should I still call?

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed)...

2/4 - I think I only got the flop right on this one.

Villain is new to the table (Hence the post).

I called PF figuring to try and flop a set, the odds arent there though, and I think reraise or fold is more in order.

The flop seems obvious, I...

Keeping the Lead in the Blinds

Is this pretty much standard? Is the Bet/Fold on the river the optimal play, or is Bet/Call or Check/Call better.

I am new to the table and have only 14 hands on villain so no good reads/stats. ...

Re: SupaMine

I use a dedicated PC for my Mining, so I can put a heavy test load on it. But if you are full, thats cool too. Look forward to using the program either way.

Re: Potowatomi collusion

I am not sure how bad the Bump it up comment is. I have been at tables where people get crazy and just cap PF blind. Its not like there is an advantage there for them. The advantage in that...

Re: frustrating hand

I push this, and way less any time its folds to me in the HJ with less than 10BB. If you run into a good hand, so be it. You will run into plenty of KQs though too, and those you are ahead of.

Re: Eurobet (PR) problem - One table is blacked out

I have this problem too. It is related to the dual monitors I think. I know its not system constraints since I have 2x Opteron 250s and 4 Gigs of RAM. I just stopped putting Euro Tables on my...

Re: The rake at Party Poker is horrible

The players suck, that's all that really matters. And, unless they recently raised their rake, it is the same or lower than most other sites. You think they suck, try some 6 Max at Poker Room.

Re: 1010 - Too aggressive?

The river probably calls for a bet, but I feel ya with the check and running bad. Since I got on the new Eurobet at the 2/4 5 Max I am on a cool 110BB downswing myself. And the tables there dont...

Re: Am i to tight in the BB?

Hand 1:I think I would 3 bet PF go from there. Even if he is very tight, AQs is a premium 6 handed hand.

Hand 2: That's how I would play it, hopefully someone has a better way.

Re: Undeletable file!! (being used by another person or process) FIX!!!

Boot to a floppy drive with NTFS support, and delete the file from a command prompt?

Or, you could add a command to delete the file at the beginning of your startup routine, and see if that works....

Re: I\'m building a gaming / poker PC, I need help!

Dont go water cooling, it is really unnecesary.

Just buy good silent style fans from Thermaltake or something.

Re: QQ Turn Play

I think you have to bet this, and you can probably fold to a checkraise.

Re: What Dell Should I Get

If you really wanna do all of that at once, than buy the top of the line system, and get at least 2 Gigs of RAM.

Re: I\'m building a gaming / poker PC, I need help!

The Antec Power supply is fine, and the performance boost for RAID 0 is not that much. It is certainly not worth the cost, or the additional risk.

Re: I\'m building a gaming / poker PC, I need help!

Looks fine, but the RAID 0 thing is overrated. You wont notice much improvement in speed, and if one drive goes out, you lose it all.

For specific Parts:

Case is Fine, though I prefer some...

Re: Why can\'t I fold...i know exactly what he has...!

Why not checkraise the flop instead of the turn. If you get 3bet then you get some more info, and it costs you less. Once you decide to CR the turn, and he 3 bets you, I think you can make the...

Re: First Open Office, then Firefox, now what?

I am not sure who told you AVG is the be all end all, but it just isn't. And it was an open source post, and ClamWin is an open source virus scanner. AVG is free, but that doesnt make it open...

Re: First Open Office, then Firefox, now what?

It depends what you want to do. You can use 7-Zip for compression. Clamwin for Antivirus, and GAIM for instant messaging. If you are on an open source kick.
