Does anyone know what the status of Harrah's poker room is? I'll check their site for the games spread, but given traffic is down so much, any insight into what games are...

If I wasn't getting tips I'd expect $30/hr minimum probably.

Re: New Orleans poker

[ QUOTE ]
I was just down in NOLA and the word that I heard is that Harrah's is planning on opening mid Feb or so. Feb 9th was a specific date that I heard.

In the meantime go crush the 2/5 NL...

Re: How would YOU handle this \"situation\" with a dealer?

That just sounds like the dealer making a joke to me. A pretty nit thing to get your panties in a bunch about.

Re: Unlimited betting when h/u live. A good rule to know.

At my local room it has to be heads up at the start of the street. So if 3 see the flop, 4 is the cap. If someone then folds and only 2 see the turn, no cap.

Re: What is appropriate conversation at a B&M table?

I would have started chatting more and louder to piss him off and put him on tilt. As long as youre just chatting friendly, he has no right to tell you to be quiet.

Re: Who all will be at the New Orleans WSOP?

Doyle, Howard Lederer and Phil Ivey are all on the poster outside the poker room at Harrahs, so I would bet they'll all be there for sure.

Re: Harrahs St Louis Trip Report, Day 1

You really only need about 25 small bets to sit at a limit table, just make sure you have another 25 in the wallet.

Re: Limit vs. No limit in Vegas

If you have the bankroll, 3/6 online should translate nicely to 10/20.

Re: Does New Orleans have any other good poker rooms besides Harrah\'s?

For those who have never seen a basement in New Orleans, give me a PM. I will take you on a whirlwind tour of Uptown where you will see all sorts of basements.

And speaking of poker at Harrah's,...

Re: Does New Orleans have any other good poker rooms besides Harrah\'s?

Yes, I do live in New Orleans, going on 3 years now. Maybe I just limit myself to Uptown too much, but pretty much every house I've ever been in here has a basement. Probably because they're all ~100...

Re: New Orleans

The 3/6 game here is so juicy, the rake makes practically no difference. Think about it, New Orleans is one of the hottest tourist destinations in the world, and just about the only place on earth...

Re: Harrah\'s New Orleans and the Raddison Hotel in N.O.

I've lived in NO for a couple years now. Most of my favorite restaurants are Uptown. Most of them the streetcar can get you close enough, others you might have to grab a cab. Just short list would...
