Re: How would you play this? AKs NL 400

[ QUOTE ]
I'd rather fold than put all my chips in on a draw.

[/ QUOTE ]

This comment implies fundamental misunderstanding of No Limit Texas Hold'Em.

Re: medium strength hand against maniac

PF: I would raise a bit more, but it's probably okay.

Flop: Fine.

Turn: Less than half the pot? Why? This bet gives him odds to draw, and invites him to move you off your hand. Stack sizes...

Re: TPTK w/ nut draw

I like your line.

You let him hang himself if he's behind, but he's probably not.

You have a strong draw, and odds (+implied) to continue on flop/turn.

Hard to fold on the river with those...

Re: A hand and some commentary

Call river.

Rest of the hand looks good.

Villian could be value betting any A or Q here, or be on a bluff.

Re: top two vs overbet 200 6max

Generally, weak-lead/3-bet on the turn is a monster hand.

You're behind to any set and now T9.

Fold.

Rest of the hand looks alright, although I would usually bet a little more on the flop...

Re: Solid play or just plain dumb?

Hooray for bloating the pot out of postion with a weak hand!

Min-4-bet PF is pure spew.

Re: How often do you guys continuation bet after a missed flop heads u

[ QUOTE ]
I c-bet heads up about 80% of the time. Used to do it 100% but I found that checking occasionally lets me take the other cbet pots down alot more.

Re: Aces flop nut flush draw

You're getting about 1.8:1 on your call, here. ($430:$235)

Some odds:
vs. JJ : 1.94:1 (66:34)
vs. K/images/graemlins/club.gifQ/images/graemlins/club.gif 2.15:1 (68/32)
vs. Two Pair: 1:1 (50/50)...

bet enough to fully commit yourself by potting or overpotting to price out all the draws.

Why on earth would we want to price out the draws?

I think I like a turn c/c....

[ QUOTE ]
Would this also be an even easier fold if he pushed instead of C/R all in?

[/ QUOTE ]
No, it'd be a harder fold.

Read dependant, though.

Check the flop.

WA/WB.

Re: What to do with Pocket Queens from the BB???

All in is pretty bad here. You let him off with anything you beat, and he instacalls with AA/KK. Call and move in on any flop if you think you're good.

Against most players, though, this is an...

Jim, what would you do if the Hero had position and the Villain fire $17 into the pot? Call and then C/R turn on a non scare card?

Fold PF.

Flop check is good.

Turn raise is good. Easy fold to re-raise.
