Re: Stat check

[ QUOTE ]
So basically except for a bit high vpip, you think I'm just downswinging?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think we don't have enough information. Stats are great, and with poor stats you probably...

Re: What is going on here?

77 makes no sense to me. Are you telling me that MP2 has flopped top boat and is going to try to thin the field on the flop? just doesn't seem likely to me. Nor does his cold call pf. Could he have...

Re: QQ - I keep getting donked

call...you don't know enough about this guy to fold to a 3 bet, but you really don't want to have to call one either

you and me both, brother

but it wouldn't be as much fun if we weren't making snap auto-judgments while playing 4 tables would it?
probably the most important thing for me to work on. i always...

Re: 3/6 vs LAGs - call flop on implied odds for runner-runner?

i agree that he should fold the flop, and you also need to take into account that the pot might be raised behind you on the flop, cutting your effective odds down further...

I routinely fold 78s...

Re: JJ river fold?

Pot odds justify a call I think

You should consider waiting until the turn to raise. Your equity will change considerably for better or for worse on the turn. Overcards are getting the correct...

Re: Nut flush river decision

i think you're good better than one in nine times....he holds a queen or smaller flush more often than that

Re: Should I quit? 35k hands at 1/2 and still breaking even..Stats inside

you should be checkraising far more often than 98 times out of 34,000

Re: Raise or Call?

raise...the overcards will fold, the straight/flush draws won't.

actually, the overcards might not, but that's ok too

Re: 5/10 5 flush on the riva: A good time for a bet-fold?

bet...you can safely fold to a raise. i seem to remember reading a theorem on here a while back stated that if you are heads up and the first to act, and a four flush card appears on the board, you...

Re: Hat trick on the turn

sounds to me like they all fold because you have the best hand with AQ or something. Incidentally, you probably get 3 callers on the flop, because of the smaller bet and the fact that there are two...

Re: River fold?

the way you played this hand (poorly, as you said) makes your river decision much more difficult. i doubt you're ahead more than one in five times.

and i'm sure you don't need to hear that you...

Re: Calling down a Loose Aggressive

i see nothing really wrong with capping the flop. I might have gone for a CR on the turn, but that's just me.

My point is that you are now describing a maniac, which is not what you seemed to...

Re: Calling down a Loose Aggressive

you say this guy wasn't necessarily aggressive all the time, but you're describing a maniac. If you're sure he had nothing better than Kx, then obviously you cap the flop if you can get it heads up,...

Re: ready to move up? poker grader results

i should clarify that. I am bankrolled for 300BB at 5-10. My concern is more with my stats; assuming that they are fairly representative of my play, is there anything in that would raise a flag?

Re: Top set multiway action

yeah, i think you have to bet. you don't want to give someone with two pair and a heart a free card. plus, if everyone calls, i think you're betting your quad/boat draw for value. I'd probably cap...

Re: Calling down a Loose Aggressive

i'm not sure if i like the checkraise on the flop. You really don't want to whiff here. You can also enlist the help of the TAG to try to force out the LAG. I think you're either far ahead or far...

ready to move up? poker grader results

I've been playing online 2/4 and 3/6 for about the last year and a half, anywhere from one to four tables, with mixed results. I've won around $2000 during that time, playing around 50K hands. Not a...

Re: results

If I'm the button, I'm a lot more likely to consider folding to the turn raise against TWO players representing trips or better than against one player showing aggression. Given the read of the...

Re: am i raising the flop with overcards too often?

I think the read is the key preflop...a very tight passive player will often be ahead, as he's not limping with less than QK too often. A tight aggressive player is possibly further ahead, as he is...
