Re: Cash Game Theory

I have experienced the same situation in both live games and onlline. I attribute some of my poorer results after initial wins to the fact that NL tables seem to sift through bad players relatively...

The ultimate calling station?

Ok a friend of mine played a table game at a casino that was based on Hold Em. He could not remember the exact name of the game so I am not sure what it is. All of this information is through word...

Re: gdogtlaw21 is a cheater in the $1K PL Party games

Re: 5/10 NL Shorthanded Play

Jh 9h?
10 10?

I didnt run the numbers, but that seems to me the worst case scenario. Made straight that kills two of your heart outs because of Sflush. Plus a set that can fill up if you hit a...

IMO, Raising the nut flush in that spot will only shut out players you really want putting money in the pot. If the guy leading has also flopped a flush you will be more likely to bleed him for more...

Re: Voluntarily put $ in pot at small stakes PP

Well, I think your winrate at .50/1 and 1/2 probably wouldnt be that much different (in terms of bb/100). Is there that much difference in the level of play from .50/1 to 1/2 to 3/6 ? From my limited...

Re: Voluntarily put $ in pot at small stakes PP

thanks for the response. Yeah one of the reasons it is high is because i tend to play all pocket pairs and Axs regardless of position if the game is passive (almost always is). So I think that alone...

Voluntarily put $ in pot at small stakes PP

what % of the time will most winning players at small stakes Party Poker games be entering the pot? I have been playing recently and using Poker Tracker and I am at about 24%. I only have 3000 hands...

Re: An interesting 20/40 turn

Yeah, after they both show their "badass" laydowns, he should look really impressed and then say "Wow.......you guys sure suck" and flip his hand up.

Re: Small PP hand

It seems like betting the turn is the right play to me. Was the cold call that indicitive of a bigger pocket pair?? Obviously if hes not on one checking is terrible. If you do check/check the turn...

Re: Winning / Winning Potential.

[ QUOTE ]
Calling the big blind costs at most 0.5 BB with any hand.

Re: Easy Check/Fold?

Would he 3 bet with JJ, 1010, 99, KQs? Seems like check folding might be giving up too easily, although this is a very ugly flop for your hand. Would he lay down KK with no spade if you checkraised...

Re: Good? Bad?

Yeah, My guess was that BB was on a 3 or a flush draw. For UTG to raise to isolate him, I made the assumption that UTG was on a hand like QJ,KQ,AQ all of which would be reasonable for him to limp in...

I think you played it fine given the player description especially. By betting the river I think you would often have that type of player fold his...
