Re: Q/Q in BB and it comes to me CAPPED!

Well, I for one am glad I represented A/A or trips with my flop checkraise. If not, I might have folded against this:

Re: Two pair gone bad

[ QUOTE ]
I'm curious as to your evaluation of my hand on the turn though. Where do you see 6 outs? If I'm behind to a K, then I'm drawing to 2 outs.

Re: Q/Q in BB and it comes to me CAPPED!

Glad I didn't get taken to task too much, especially for what might as well have been a three-bet cold-call.

Now here's a question: suppose I check and the action goes bet/raise/reraise, or I bet...

Q/Q in BB and it comes to me CAPPED!

I have never seen this before.

First hand at the table, so I posted in BB. The only person who looks familiar is pretty stupid, but he was smart enough to stay the hell out of the way here.

Re: Preflop Question

Let's flip the script.

You're in the cutoff with K/10 offsuit. Five players limp. Do you raise?

The answer to that is probably "no." So why would you raise here with five players already in,...

Re: Flush draws.. when? why?

SSHE has you playing 4/3 suited in a loose game from the button for one bet. Look it up.

Re: Biggest pot you\'ve ever made a bad fold in?

Before I decided to adhere to the wisdom of 2+2, I once held A/9 and got caught in a raising war between two other players when an ace spiked on the flop. I was too stupid to realize I had TOP...

Re: raise the flop with KK with an A on board?

It all depends on whether you think BB is capable of betting the turn with middle/bottom pair or unpaired Broadway gutshots.

The flop raise and turn bet is not terrible if you can get BB to fold a...

Re: Heads Up - What\'s My Turn/River Line Here?

What makes you think you're behind?

The guy plays 3/4 of all his hands. He may not be smart enough to checkraise with a set, so that's still in the mix, as is any 3, 6/5, A/5 and weakly played...

Re: Protect this hand?

Grunch: nh.

Preflop is cool. You're getting 9-1 immediate odds, plus all four of the limpers will probably call. That's more than enough for set value, but you don't have enough hand to 3-bet.

Re: K/9o in CO, dead SB — steal?

No, I haven't read HPFAP. Was pushing for it for Christmas, though. Had to settle for Tournament PFAP.

Does anyone think the lack of a small blind in this hand alters things? On one hand,...

[holding nose]Ugh.[/holding nose]

Your ace and ten outs are terrible. You need a queen, jack or diamond (preferably a combination of two!) to continue on the turn.

Re: Overcard Delema

Flop good. You're getting outrageous odds.

Turn bad. The odds are cut in half and you only have overcards. Though unlikely, you could be reverse-dominated.

Re: Forty-Four

That's understandable. He probably had crap. You saw his crap and raised with a decent hand, and BB saw your decent hand and reraised with what figures to be an even better one.

If you don't hit...

Re: Was this wimpy????

You're getting 16-1. At that price even a three-out draw is worth calling for, and you have that in your overcard and backdoors. Since BB was the aggressor, you can probably safely assume it won't...

What are you expecting to accomplish with this bet? Make Q/Q fold? I don't see either one going away, especially not BB who capped both of you. He's telling you he has a great hand, which probably...

Re: QQ facing post flop aggression

There was no cold-call.

I can't imagine him having any J/10 for the straight or any flush, unless he was super-aggro preflop (he's not).

He either has A/A or K/K and is pwning you, or A/K or...

Re: Ever pay 2 BB\'s to see what villian is up to?

If you already knew he was a calling station, you can safely fold just about anything to a checkraise.

I only call in that situation when I have too much hand to fold. Here's somewhat of an...

Re: K/9o in CO, dead SB — steal?

Hmm. Didn't know "stop-n-go" was position-dependent. Thought it meant anytime you smooth-call a hand you can raise with then raise on the next card. Noted.

I wish posters here would be more...
