Re: McEvoy\'s Cardplayer quiz #5
I don't mind the limp PF. I think the crime in this hand is not betting the flop hard. Get those summertime hands outa there. I'd like to get this pot heads up w/ TPTK or such. This way I have 15...

How often do you make moves in MTT?
I am always looking for good spots to steal blinds or unwanted pots, but I think I overdo it. How often can you steal w/o ruining your table image? At some point I got it into my head that I should...

Re: What\'s your move here?
You fold on the flop, what's the problem?
Against a large field TP crap kicker with an all /images/graemlins/diamond.gif board is worthless. Giving them all random hands you are not a favorite....

Re: I\'m confused about this one...
If I follow this article correctly: I should push as SB anytime it's folded to me if I think the BB is tight(will only call w/ top 25% of hands).
I certainly don't do this now, and I am skepticle...

Re: Are the impied odds here?
Thanks for the imput. When UTG just called the raise I felt I made a mistake. When another 3 fell on the flop I was sure of it. When all three other players went all-in w/ pocket pairs (99,JJ, and...

Are the impied odds here?
It's the begining of a large MTT. Blinds 10/20. I have 1800 in the BB. UTG min raises. MP re-raises to 120. Button cold-calls. I have 33, is this s a good place to look for a set?
It costs me...

Re: hand vs pro $1000 WSOP NL
I didn't give the flush draw enough weight, your probably ahead more than I figured, but you will get drawn out on more. I still like a push for the added FE, but the swings will be wild. If you...

Re: hand vs pro $1000 WSOP NL
Insta-push.
I'd say roughly 1/3 of the time your 4's are best, and half of the time your behind you make a straight to win. Add in some FE, and this is an easy push.

Re: WSOP Main Event Day 1 Hand: Call or Fold?
This highlights one of the things I find fascinating about poker. Because of the PF chips in the pot you are each getting odds to go to the felt here. You played the hand aggressivily, but...

Re: Stealing against Phil Hellmuth in WSOP
You could push.
He'd know you were stealing it, but I don't think he'd call. He'd have to risk his entire life on the hand. against anyone else, this idea sucks, but PH likes to laydown hands.

Re: How to lose a poker tournament
I found the article useful. You always hear how aggressive play pays off, and the article describes poker play that's entirely aggression-free. It is a great example of how passive play requires...

What\'s the deal with limp re-raising?
I have not read much on this play. Does it have any merit? It's not a play I have in my arsonal. The set of hands I would limp with contains none of the hands I would re-raise with. Should I...

Re: Too aggressive on first hand?
Since many players call too much, especially early in tournanments, stealing is a poor play in the first few levels. That makes sense, I appreciate the help.

Re: The wsop hand
I don't like limping PF. If you raised and he reraised, you have a better idea that you were behind. After you limped and he raised, a re-raise would have narrowed his holdings down. If you are...
