Re: My weakness...middle pairs

Preflop is fine.

Fold the flop, unless you're putting him on KQs.

Might have the odds to call the turn (I figure 10 outs with the pot laying you 4.75:1, you'll probably be able to CR the river...

Re: Turn Against Tight, Passive

At the risk of being redundant (I haven't read any responses yet), and assuming he's a rational player: 99, 33, QQ, KQ, AK. KQ being most likely (although he usually shouldn't be raising with it in...

Re: Bet river here?

[ QUOTE ]
There are so many other draws out there besides flush draws that I am betting that river regardless of how many callers you had.

[/ QUOTE ]

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this a...

Re: Bet river here?

If this table was playing like the typical rock garden of Party 1/2, I would check the river here.

Re: QQ and a fish: c/f this flop?

[ QUOTE ]
Will a fish with his stats really bet in this situation with anything less than top pair or a set?

[/ QUOTE ]

maybe and thats not the point. When you act before him...

Re: Your opinions on another Top 2 Pair hand please ?

I dump this in EP pre-flop.

Raise on the flop is correct. It's a huge pot, and your hand is a monster but vulnerable. Protect your hand.

Turn is standard.

River I could see checking it...

Re: 99 UTG vs. TAG UTG1

The river call is fine. You're not calling the turn bet to draw to two outs. So if you think there's enough of a chance that you have the best hand to call the turn, then I think you commit...

Re: AJo MP2 HU

Fold. You have a maximum of six outs, probably more like 3 or 4 (could easily have an ace with a small kicker that paired). Pot is smallish, heads up. Wait for another opportunity.

B&M 10-20 capped 6 ways PF

Button is TAG. Four limpers are loose and generally passive, although the limper to my left trys outright bluff check-raises on the turn fairly often.

Hero is the BB with QhQd.

Four limpers,...

They are, but the posters are referring to bots who don't KNOW they're bots.

MP1 had TT as well. BB had AdAs.

I don't think anyone at a full table would cap with 88. I thought one player probably had AKo and another AA or KK, but I thought I had to call the river bet...

Re: I can call this flop right?

I might not call this PF raise, maybe about half the time.

I'm not sure you can call the flop. You have a backdoor flush and a gutshot (about 5.5 outs according to SSH). But notice that if you...

Re: results

I think a 3-bet on the flop or a CR on the turn makes this a clear fold at this level. From what I hear a bluff turn CR at the more aggressive levels (3-6 and above, especially SH games) is not...

I'm embarassed I didn't pick up the double gutshot, but more so that I called the river bet. I think you project a weak tight image folding to a small bet on the flop in a raised pot.

Villian...

A few responses:

Note that I didn't raise SOLELY for information, I also assured myself a cheap(er) showdown by being able to check through the river, saving 1/2BB.

What hands can villian...

pocket kings-played poorly?

I raised on the flop to gain information (which was stupid since he could easily put me on AK or AQ) and also to get a cheaper showdown. I figured the only hands that would call my river bet were...

Played 10-20 there on a Sunday night late about two weeks ago. Couple sharp players, overall pretty loose preflop (4-5 callers not uncommon, didn't see many raised pots pre-flop). Gorgeous room. ...

Vegas-poker rates week of NCAA tourney?

I know this is a pipe dream, especially at this late stage. Barring any miracles, any reasonable rates that week? Every place so far is $350 a night or so...

Re: Underage at Chicago/N Indiana casinos...

I'm 29, look young (maybe 25, despite all my grey) and get carded about a quarter of the time (at Harrah's). I've tried to figure out how I won't, just as a little game, and I think if you enter on...

Re: Harrah\'s East Chicago Saturday, 1/15

Everytime I've been over there lately (probably 3 in the last month) they've had one or even two no limit games. 10-20 wait list is getting unbearable.
