Re: Common Situation... I always end up playing it weak tight

And I'll jump on that wagon too. My usual action with queens out of position is concede if the ace hits and stab at the pot if the only overcard is a king. Usual PP call is Ax. This seems to be...

Re: Where to play deepstack NL online?

I'm wondering if PP is short to promote crap-shoot style play in turn to up their rakes? It makes sense...
1) Short stacks undeniably reduce overlay.
2) This reduces the rate at which money flows...

Re: Does anyone get out of this hand?

I think we all figured that. If anyone didn't conclude such from the fact that you raised to 75c frankly they are a bit of a twit /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Somewhat similar to my hand last...

It\'s a gold rush

I agree, enjoy it while it lasts. It's a gold rush. The same as the Californian or the Australian gold rushes; the people who sold up and put everything on the line got burnt.

Not to say we won't...

Re: Bettin or Raising $ X.99?

I love f*&king with the short stacks and raising 689 when they have 700. And it's great fun watching them go allin for 11 chips on the next round. It's amazing how many times people will just call...

Re: 5/10 destroyed me

Ditto, got here Jan 2001 just in time for the tech demise. You play until you got here? I only started a few months ago. Poker still doesn't seem to get much attention back home.

Re: Party NL25 and variance...

Yup I'm living by 20* buyin too. Bit further to go to get to the 50's than you, hopefully sometime next month. It's not so much that I set these rules because I believe poker should be regemented,...

Re: The problem is

I will never quit my day job. Can you imagine a 2 week losing streak when you're paying your mortgage with the winnings? And these streaks happen! I have read a blog or two by the fulltimers. I want...

Re: Party NL25 and variance...

I am up 28 buyins on UB and in my first 4 hours at PP, went down 6 buyins. Aces just wouldn't hold and I wasn't playing my A game. Variance can be huge when your aces get overcalled every time! If...

Re: My first 8tabling experiance.

Great effort mate /images/graemlins/grin.gif if you can't brag here where can you brag? I tried 6 tabling and I found it tricky I'm wondering if this was because they overlapped. 3 along the top and...

Re: Is there a single person who would lay this hand down?

His stack was $100, not mine, I don't know how he stands to win $100 off me when I've only $50. He was getting ~1:12 implied odds, which are just enough to call, but I also wanted to entice a fish...

Re: Is there a single person who would lay this hand down?

I say again, who are you playing against!? I'm on a 50c UB table, I called an all in last night when someone holding 72s hit a 7 (second pair) on the flop!!! Again I had AA. I suppose I should have...

Re: Is there a single person who would lay this hand down?

He payed $7.50 preflop to play with me, that beams high pockets or AK to me. As I demonstrated further up in this thread a 50% confidence in high pockets is enough to break even, anything more is...

Multitabling SnG/ring mix 3 and 3?

I have seen a lot of discussion on how many tables people play. With my new PP account combined with UB I'm starting to stretch my legs a little.

I have found PP 4 SnG's started at the same time...

Re: Is there a single person who would lay this hand down?

Exactly what I thought! I hardly even considered the trip possibilities, other than if he'd called chasing his implied odds, going all in when he hits would be unusual, even I would say, less...

Re: Is there a single person who would lay this hand down?

6-tabling /images/graemlins/smile.gif noread, only the generalizations I have formed of play at these tables, which is enough to get me by. Based on this 'read', yes he was dumb.

Re: Is there a single person who would lay this hand down?

The question can be simplified significantly:

I was laid approximately 6:5, so I need to 5:6, or 45% to win. If I am ahead I could still lose, so I need to be ahead approximately 50% of the time...

Is there a single person who would lay this hand down?

50c blinds, few limpers, then a $2.50 raise, then I reraise to $7.50 with pocket aces. After the raise my stack is a tad shy of $50. The initial raiser calls and we see a flop.

J 8 7 rainbow and...

Re: Say you have A4 and the flop is 23K (flippant)

No way. Last night on PP. Someone bet 35 into a 250 pot, everyone called (3 callers before me), I closed the action. My stack was around a grand. Implied odds to the yingyang. I called, hit and took...
