Re: Knicks get Eddy Curry

This is a high risk/reward move. Having Larry Brown at the helm, he won't tolerate a lazy work ethic or poor attitude from Curry so he will have to earn his minutes. Jerome James will be forced to...

Eddy Curry

What is this guy's deal? Is he still a free agent? Do you think anyone is going to risk signing him before the season starts?

All I know is he is a big dude and can put up good numbers. I feel...

Re: Metal in Microwave Oven

the reason metal isnt supposed to be put in a microwave is because it reflects microwaves. this reflection redirects microwaves back to the magnetron, which can either shorten its life or burn it...

Re: Turning Stone 1/2 NL dilemma

I knew I was going to the felt this hand no matter what happened. I was more concerned whether or not I should call on the flop or just push it in. Personally I felt pushing the flop was bad news...

I get it all-in on the turn. The river bricks off and vllian tables 6-6 for the boat.

In retrospect I don't think folding was an option so I only cursed myself briefly and rebought.

Re: Turning Stone 1/2 NL dilemma

I did end up calling the flop. The turn brought another 8 so the board read A-6-8-8. Villian put me all-in (results to follow tommorow).

Re: Turning Stone 1/2 NL dilemma

The hand happened at approximately 11pm. Apparently they had 9 NL100 tables open that night so there is a good chance I didn't see you.

I totally agree about going to the felt. My game was...

Turning Stone 1/2 NL dilemma

I was at Turning Stone last night when this hand unfolded. Villian (~275) has been playing virtually every hand calling raises with draws, bottom pair, 2nd pair, etc. Villian isn't just a calling...

Re: QJs, one player all-in

Sounds about right.

I think the river check is good because I feel like you are only going to be called by a better hand if you bet.

Re: flopped 2 pair from the bb

Preflop and flop look good. I would probably pot the turn and either shutdown if called or fold to a reraise.

Re: Was this a bad push?

Considering the villian's stack size I do not think you were getting away from this one.

Re: 100NL. TT in LP against an EP PFR

Looks like a fold. The only hands you are beating are pocket 9's, pocket 8's, AKs or AQs (both of which you are a slight dog).

You could call his flop bet and see what villian does on the turn.

Re: playing against drawing hands

If you put the villian on a drawing hand, you can't give him the right odds to call. By betting $60 into a $160 pot on the turn you lay the villian ~3.5-1 to call.

Pot the turn and try to get...

Re: 100nl 6h. How should I play this AA hand? Please help.

You have to reraise more preflop. You don't want to set yourself up to lose a big pot by letting some lesser hands outdraw you. Since villian did turn out to have KK reraising to 15-20 helps build...

Re: AA in the SB...HEEEEEEEEHAW

Looks like a standard slowplayed trip kings. I probably would have raised more preflop being there are two callers and you are OOP.

Pot the flop to find out where you are at.

Re: Sanity Check

Get your entire stack in by the turn. If villian has j-10 you still have a redraw. With that kind of board there is also a very good chance villian will call your all-in with a worst hand a very...

Re: jk \'mixes it up\' pf in 6-max.

The flop min-reraise is awful. You are laying SB/CO 2.5-to-1 which is almost the right price to draw. The board is heavily coordinated and your bottom-2 has a chance to be counterfeited.

I would...
