Value bet? You're leaving yourself with 900 after that. What's wrong with Check Folding in this spot?

I see that its much more necessary to keep those chips in case you get min raised, or pushed...

I dont know how to play a deep stack effectively, so can I get some solid reasoning why I should raise these preflop so I can add this to my regular thought process when making a decision?
