Re: MP3 puts me in a bad spot

In this situation, when you are second to act, you want the first player to bet, so you can raise and force out the others. You're not trying to get as many bets in as possible here and maximize...

6-max vs. 10 handed

Do you prefer 6-max tables or the normal 9 or 10 handed ones. Which ones do you think are easier to win at? How do you alter strategy when at a 6-max table?

Re: How should I have played this?

Thanks, I knew I played this hand atrociously.
Do you think I still should have capped pre-flop if my hand was not suited? And would I play the same way, if I knew the Button was a tight player?

How should I have played this?

I had only been at the table for about five minutes and had no real reads.

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with K/images/graemlins/spade.gif, A/images/graemlins/spade.gif....

Re: Flopped the nut straight on a 3 flush board

I think this is a check-raise situation on the turn. Two spades is all that beats you, and seeing as the turn bettor raised pre-flop, he probably has two pair or something.

Re: nut flush with a pair on the board + a river check-raise

I think this is a re-raise. It's more than likely that he has another high heart. And I don't think he would have check-called on the turn if he had a 10; you never know though.

Re: My only problem with Poker

I really know where you're coming from here as I have had many of the same feelings myself. I think that the only way you can give back and really contribute to society playing poker is if you...

Re: I play weak in a big pot because my hand is weak. This can\'t be right

You shouldn't have even called the raise pre-flop to begin with. Most of the callers on the flop probably had straight draws or flush draws. Since none of those came in, you could have the best...

Flush Draws

I'm not sure how I should be playing a flopped four-flush. Assume I'm in a normal micro-limit game, with no other draws of any kind, no reads, and about 5 or 6 seeing the flop. Should I bet out if...

Re: two overs paired board

I wouldn't have raised pre-flop to begin with. I would have folded the flop as well. You don't really have any type of draw at all. If the K or T of spades comes, that could complete a flush. And...

Re: A flop decision

I'd raise. You have a draw to the nut flush and two strong overcards. There are no real straight possibilities. This is a great flop for your hand. You also want people to fold who might have a...

Re: KK laydown - did I play this correctly?

I would have layed it down after the flop. With all the pre-fold betting and raising, and the same after the flop, I think you have to figure at least one of the 5 players involved in the post-flop...

Re: Questionable hand

I think you played this hand pretty well. I think you've gotta figure you're probably beat, but considering the size of the pot and the fact that the button just cold called the flop and turn, the...

Re: PSI Worst Poker on TV Yet

Agreed. I was expecting something better from FSN after Poker at the Plaza, which I thought was great. In addition to the problems already mentioned, I hated that you couldn't hear any of the...
